An open letter to Bahman Ghobādi by Tarang Abediān

[edit]

Some minutes ago this open letter (in Persian) came to my attention, the contents of which is deserving of being reflected in the main entry. In this letter, the film director Ms Abediān accuses Mr Gobādi of using amongst other things her research material for her documentary film "Not a Figment of Imagination" (Na Yek Tavahhom - research on the documentary began in 2002 and work on its production began in 2003), which is about the life of a young Iranian musician in Tehran, in making his recent film "No One Knows About Persian Cats" (Kasi Az Gorbeh-hā-yeh Irāni Khabar Nadārad); she accuses Mr Turaj Aslāni, the Cameraman of both films, as having acted as a mole. In the letter Ms Abediān states that the fact that Mr Gobādi has succeeded in making his film in just 17 days shows the extent to which Mr Gobādi has relied on her research material, without her permission and even her prior knowledge. --BF 19:30, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

At https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film/Persian_cinema_task_force I asked if it really is him. --92.73.27.182 (talk) 17:37, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
