Contested deletion

[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because I went back and made extensive changes spending several hours to correct the entry and provided links to each and ever entry that I entered before providing factual Wikipedia links to these entries and then compared my changes with your guidelines and the entries of other similar experts who have created Wikipedia pages. These users are involve in similar areas of work as myself in the policy community and are leading thought experts in their fields. My entry is not out of the ordinary when you compare my Wikiepdia to these other experts. Instead of deleting the page I think it would be helpful to me for you to suggest what can be done further to improve the page and comply with your guidelines.

Your user page is not the place to write an encyclopedia article; it is a place to present basic information about yourself as a Wikipedia editor. I assume that the entries about experts you refer to are not user pages, but actual articles. The proper way to create an article would be to go through Wikipedia:Articles for creation. However, per our guidelines on autobiographies, it is strongly discouraged to write an article about yourself, since this constitutes a natural conflict of interest. It is likely that these articles you refer to were not created by the subjects themselves, but rather by uninvolved Wikipedia editors. Finally, all articles must comply with Wikipedia's notability guidelines. In general, this means someone unrelated to the subject must have written significantly about it. The article should be primarily based on these independent sources. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 01:37, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
