Special:Contributions/95.147.145.134

Hi! This user obsessively changed most instances of "White Americans" to "European Americans" and is now changing other race/ethnicity related terms as well. Can an admin, possibly an American (US) one, or maybe a Canadian one, look at this?

From my understanding, in some contexts, White American and European Americans mean the same thing, but not every European-American is considered (by the American society) white. Think about Roma people. I do not want to make mistakes, so I only reverted their edits on Ku Klux Klan and only gave them one warning, because I know the history of the KKK. I am not sure about the other articles, and I do not want to be tragically wrong. This is why I am asking here instead of reverting and warning that IP multiple times.

I really hope this does not sound racist. Please note that I am Italian and we have a very different view of race/ethnicity here (similar to Germany due to our shared dark past). ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 11:58, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Being targetted by GRP, little reason for new users to edit administrative report archives. Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 15:50, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

When dealing with pages that are GRP targets, we've got to be careful not to push him into highly viewed areas or worse, harassing editors on user talk pages. Protecting that archive could easily result in that. While there's no reason for anyone to edit the archives, there's also not much damage in him being able to keep an edit there for a few seconds, compared to harassment of editors or vandalism of highly viewed pages. Mass creation of non-notable articles

Hi, We have an editor Kolya75Media who's creating a whole ton of area code articles however none of the articles are sourced and unfortunately we don't have List articles to redirect them too (List of area codes in Michigan and List of area codes in California being 2 examples),

Hi Davey2010, they are not eligible for A4 as A4 only covers people, groups, companies, products, services or websites. Regarding notability, it's important to note the only discussion we can really refer to as of recent is enwiki WikiProject Telecommunication's request for comment on area codes in 2023, which only agreed area codes are not inherently notable and must pass the general notability guideline (GNG) on their own. I personally think the articles that have been made likely pass GNG, even if they are unreferenced stubs. I think the better solution to this is to try and expand them as best as we can and reference them as well, but you are welcome to RfD them if you disagree.
