Broken
Lights came with a cut right at the power source. So not only would they not work, I had to peel the paint off my walls and deal with a disappointed daughter. Not happy.

I grabbed this light strip in the 65’ length for putting around the perimeter of a bedroom. I didn’t have high expectations since the price was so low. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the function and controls of these lights.
In the box you get a spool of LED lights, control box, power adapter, remote and user manual.
The light strip itself has a small connector at the end that plugs into the control box. It has adhesive backing that seems sticky enough but only time will tell how long it will stay up there. I would have liked to see 3M on the back but at this price point I am not surprised. My only real complaint is that the density of the LED on the strip is not near as tight as shown on the box and images. They are spaced at 2.5” so this give you just shy of 5 LED per foot. For this 65.5’ strip that gives a total of 314 LED. Which I guess is still pretty good but not as many as I thought it was going to be. One other item of note is that these lights and controllers are not rated for any moisture at all so you cannot use them outside nor in any damp environment, like under a kitchen cupboard.
The control box is tiny. The smallest I have ever seen for these kinds of lights. On the bottom is the power port that the adapter plugs into. Up top are two ports for light strips to plug into. This kit came with one long strand so I only need one port, but it is nice for flexibility and expansion to be able to add another string. Beside the ports is a small IR receiver that the remote uses to operate the lights. So if you plan to use the remote you will need line of sight to this receiver.
The lights can be controlled with the provided remote or and app called “Lotus Lantern” that the QR code on the unit itself takes you to for download. The remote has a bunch of features for colour, brightness, timers, etc. but is limited compared to the app. It uses a a single CR2025 battery that is also included. The app connected immediately via Bluetooth once enabled. Through the app you can control the almost infinite array of colours, set timers and even a schedule. Very flexible functions and a lot of modes to choose from.
Overall this light strip is excellent and is exactly what I needed and it is hard to beat the price.
