I bought this in 2022 when the old one I had had for 6 years broke down completely. I agree that it is waterproof. My cat has accidently vomited on my bed and the bed itself is not stained or anything. My reason for giving it a 3 star is because I took it off my bed today to wash it. The plastic/fabric on the inside was completely ripped with a big gaping hole. Figured it would still be alright, as my older one had this issue and worked perfectly well. So I washed it, dried it, and it just bunched up. Couldn’t out it back in place and the plastic/fabric rip just got bigger. So in the end I had no choice but to throw it out. Will I buy another one? Yes, because it does the job it’s supposed to (at least for 2 years). Would I buy another one if my older one was still in stock? Definitely not. Would I recommend this? Yes and no, depending on if the person wishes to replace it every 2 years. Final note: it does the job, it is waterproof and protects the mattress, but the insides get ripped fast and doesn’t last long.
