We obtained 24 air samples in 8 general wards temporarily converted into negative-pressure wards admitting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) omicron variant BA.2.2 in Hong Kong. SARS-CoV-2 RNA was detected in 19 (79.2%) of 24 samples despite enhanced indoor air dilution. It is difficult to prevent airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in hospitals.

Poor nutritional intake is common among older adults. Given that nutrition knowledge is an important determinant of eating behaviour and nutritional status, understanding areas of inadequate knowledge can guide educational interventions to reduce risk of nutritional deficiencies and promote healthy ageing. This review investigated tools assessing general nutritional knowledge of older adults and their carers. Following the Joanna Briggs for Scoping Reviews guidelines, 4 databases (MEDLINE, CINAHL, Global Health and Embase) and grey literature were searched. Studies of any type containing general nutrition knowledge assessment tools for older adults or their carers were included. In total, 6934 articles were identified, of which 24 met the eligibility criteria, and 23 unique nutrition knowledge assessment tools were included. Of these tools, 14 were original, 6 were modified from other tools and 3 used dietary-related responses from national dietary survey questions. 6 tools were developed for carers (mostly nurses) and 17 tools for older adults. Tools had between 4 and 110 items. The most common topics for general nutrition knowledge questions were related to nutrients and roles, food sources of nutrients, and diet–disease relationships. 8 tools were developed prior to 2000. Most studies did not specify or assess psychometric properties of the tool, with only 9 (38 %) and 6 (26 %) studies testing for reliability and validity, respectively, and only 1 tool was considered reliable. Additional research for the development of reliable and validated tools or the validation of existing tools to assess nutrition knowledge of older adults and their carers is needed across different healthcare settings.

We conducted a survey of 16,914 patients to determine the point prevalence of healthcare-associated catheter-associated urinary tract infection (HA-CAUTI) and urinary catheter care in public hospitals in Hong Kong. Overall HA-CAUTI prevalence was 0.27%. Compliance was generally good, except for documenting the date of planned removal and securing the catheter properly.

Background
Positive symptoms are a useful predictor of aggression in schizophrenia. Although a similar pattern of abnormal brain structures related to both positive symptoms and aggression has been reported, this observation has not yet been confirmed in a single sample.
MethodTo study the association between positive symptoms and aggression in schizophrenia on a neurobiological level, a prospective meta-analytic approach was employed to analyze harmonized structural neuroimaging data from 10 research centers worldwide. We analyzed brain MRI scans from 902 individuals with a primary diagnosis of schizophrenia and 952 healthy controls.
ResultsThe result identified a widespread cortical thickness reduction in schizophrenia compared to their controls. Two separate meta-regression analyses revealed that a common pattern of reduced cortical gray matter thickness within the left lateral temporal lobe and right midcingulate cortex was significantly associated with both positive symptoms and aggression.
ConclusionThese findings suggested that positive symptoms such as formal thought disorder and auditory misperception, combined with cognitive impairments reflecting difficulties in deploying an adaptive control toward perceived threats, could escalate the likelihood of aggression in schizophrenia.

ZnO thin films are of interest for an array of applications, including: light emitters, photovoltaics, sensors and transparent contacts, among others. Production routes for ZnO include sputtering, MBE and MOCVD. This paper focuses on our efforts to produce a large scale MOCVD thin film production tool and the results obtained from the reactor. Specifically, we have constructed a tool with a 16” wafer carrier that uniformly deposits ZnO films on 38×2” wafers simultaneously. The reactor operates at low pressure (<0.1 Atmosphere) and through 700°C. High quality, uniform films have been deposited on an array of substrates. Al-doped films exhibited resisitivities in the 1×10-3 ohm-cm range and transmissivity greater than 80%. Film morphology and crystallinity are a function of process parameters. The large area oxide MOCVD reactor design challenges and results are summarized. Tool performance and ZnO thin film quality are reviewed, as well as preliminary ZnO contact performance on GaN LEDs.

Insertion of a voice prosthesis through the tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) is one way to restore the voice after total laryngectomy. The second generation Provox® voice prosthesis is presently one of the most popular devices. Although TEP can be done primarily, there are many centres that prefer it to be done at a second stage for various reasons. However, secondary TEP for retrograde replacement of prosthesis can be difficult and general anaesthesia is very often necessary. Moreover, the presence of neck stiffness and fibrosis from the surgery or previous radiotherapy could affect the neck extension for proper positioning of the trocar. Similarly, it is difficult to insert the prosthesis if there is stenosis at the pharyngoesophageal segment. We describe a technique in which creation of secondary TEP and insertion of Provox®2 is done with local anaesthesia under the same setting. The procedure is well tolerated and can be safely performed on an out-patient basis.

The industry is strongly interested in integrating low-κ dielectrics with Damascene copper. Otherwise, with conventional materials, interconnects cannot continue to scale without limiting circuit performance. Integration of copper wiring with silicon dioxide (oxide) requires barrier encapsulation since copper drifts readily in oxide. An important aspect of integrating copper wiring with low-κ dielectrics is the drift behavior of copper ions in these dielectrics, which will directly impact the barrier requirements and hence integration complexity.
This work evaluates and compares the copper drift properties in six low-κ organic polymer dielectrics: parylene-F; benzocyclobutene; fluorinated polyimide; an aromatic hydrocarbon; and two varieties of poly(arylene ether). Copper/oxide/polymer/oxide/silicon capacitors are subjected to bias-temperature stress to accelerate penetration of copper from the gate electrode into the polymer. The oxide-sandwiched dielectric stack is used to overcome interface instabilities occurring when a low-κ dielectric is in direct contact with either the gate metal or silicon substrate. The copper drift rates in the various polymers are estimated by electrical techniques, including capacitance-voltage, current-voltage, and current-time measurements. Results correlate well with timeto-breakdown obtained by stressing the capacitor dielectrics. Our study shows that copper ions drift readily into fluorinated polyimide and poly(arylene ether), more slowly into parylene-F, and even more slowly into benzocyclobutene. A qualitative comparison of the chemical structures of the polymers suggests that copper drift in these polymers may possibly be retarded by increased crosslinking and enhanced by polarity in the polymer.

The industry is strongly interested in integrating low–κ dielectrics with Damascene copper. Otherwise, with conventional materials, interconnects cannot continue to scale without limiting circuit performance. Integration of copper wiring with silicon dioxide (oxide) requires barrier encapsulation since copper drifts readily in oxide. The recent demonstrations of manufacturable multilevel Cu metallization have heightened interest to integrate Cu and low-K dielectrics for future integrated circuits. For reliable integration of both materials, Cu may need to be encapsulated by barrier materials since Cu ions (Cu+) might drift through low-K dielectrics to degrade interconnect and device integrity. This paper addresses the use of electrical testing techniques to evaluate the Cu+ drift behavior of low-K polymer dielectrics. Specifically, bias-temperature stress and capacitance-voltage measurements are employed as their high sensitivities are well-suited for examining charge instabilities in dielectrics. Charge instabilities other than Cu+ drift also exist. For example, when low-K polymers come into direct contact with either a metal or Si, interface-related instabilities attributed to electron/hole injection are observed. To overcome these issues, a planar Cu/oxide/polymer/oxide/Si capacitor test structure is developed for Cu+ drift evaluation. Our study shows that Cu+ ions drift readily into poly(arylene ether) and fluorinated polyimide, but much more slowly into benzocyclobutene. A thin nitride cap layer can prevent the penetration.
