General Summary
Under the direction of the VP, Branch Manager, this position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to branch employees including staff development, motivation, and training. In the absence of the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of branch. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with CCU’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Will ensure that branch employees provide exceptional member service and participate in Credit Union growth through sales and service excellence. Position is also responsible for overseeing the physical security, audit integrity and risk management of the branch and manages branch expenses and loss control.

Essential Duties
Assumes responsibility, under the direction of or absence of the Branch Manager, for providing leadership and direction to branch employees in addition to staff development, motivation and training.
- Schedules, evaluates, trains, supervises, and directs branch personnel. Promotes positive attitudes, cooperation, and desire to cross-sell credit union products and services in all employees.
- Plans, motivates and develops a competent, high-performing staff to ensure maximum efficiency in the daily credit union branch operations and effective member relations.
- Defines appropriate limitations of authority for all branch positions and ensures strong understanding of credit union policies and procedures.
- Promotes a sales and service culture within the branch, incorporating cross-selling skills, coaching and goal management.
- Daily reviews of entire branch premises; oversees branch security, safety and loss prevention procedures. Makes periodic checks of all cash/negotiables through surprise audits/certifications.
- Evaluates staff performance to ensure results and that corrective action takes place to be certain that the achievement of CCU’s goals and objectives are met.
- Ensures exceptional member service is delivered in a prompt, professional, courteous manner with the highest level of integrity in accordance with established Credit Union policy and standard.
- Assists, addresses and resolves member concerns and inquiries in accordance to established guidelines and ensure that members are appropriately and accurately informed and serviced.
- Ensures Credit Union’s professional reputation, image and standard of service excellence is represented and maintained at all times.
- Promotes a sales and service culture within the branch, incorporating cross-selling skills, coaching and goal management.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending products and regulations. Analyzes consumer loan requests following all policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Manages the browser to assure timely funding of consumer loans. Reviews browser to ensure efficient follow up on all pending loans.
- Promotes and supports the Credit Union’s marketing and business development effort, activities, promotions and campaigns, and ensure that branch merchandising is kept current.
- Participates in the sales efforts of Insurance and Financial Investment Services.
- Oversees branch security, safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Evaluates Branch Operations compliance with internal control, risk management and service quality and provides stable and reliable results.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations (including Teller Balancing Standards and Teller Policies and Procedures).
- Maintains responsibility for all activities related to the branch function, including provide training in regulations, Credit Union policies, and procedures necessary to ensure audit compliance.
- Maintains branch premises.
- Ensures achievement of all financial and operational goals and objectives.
- Manages branch salaries and overtime expenses.
- Monitors assigned general ledgers accounts.
- Ensures services are delivered in a prompt, professional, courteous manner with the highest level of integrity and excellent service with other departments and in accordance with established Credit Union policy and standards.
- Provides available resources and assistance to regulatory agencies, external auditors, consultants, legal counsel and vendors as required.
- Must comply with all State and Federal regulations that pertain to the job functions.
- Fosters effective communication, dialogue and coordination with other departments and promotes teamwork and a productive work environment for ongoing, effective accomplishment of objectives.
- Attends and participates in management meetings, seminars, conferences and committees as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
