Role – Manager, ChemGroup Sales Support

ChemGroup has an excellent opportunity in Louisville, KY for a Manager, Sales Support. This will be a new strategic growth role at ChemGroup with the primary responsibilities to manage and lead activities that support the growth of ChemGroup sales, including support of the ChemGroup sales team and implementation of our strategic objectives in Corporate Accounts.


Responsibilities

Role will be report directly to sales leadership and be responsible for leading and managing ChemGroup sales support activities including:

  • Sales support to ChemGroup sales team aligned with Strategic Growth plans
  • Managing the coordination, communication and sales support activities as required for the continued growth of ChemGroup Corporate Account sales
  • Ensures coordination and communication of Corporate Sales priorities across ChemGroup including ongoing development and implementation of best practices to support Corporate Sales growth
  • Ongoing interface with internal and external stakeholders as needed including customers and suppliers to leverage ChemGroup collective capabilities to deliver profitable sales growth (e.g., multifaceted support and delivery of sourcing, supply chain, logistics and/or custom solutions as required to quickly and creatively meet the changing needs of our customers)
  • Ensures ChemGroup corporate sales and servicing processes are efficient thru implementation of best practice customer service, order fulfillment processes and management of supporting administrative staff
  • Corporate account onboarding and ongoing communication support processes
  • Implementation of Sales Support Tools and Best Practices across ChemGroup
  • Lead, support and develop best practices for recurring Corporate Account RFP and sales cycle development processes
  • Ongoing support to business development needs and activities as required


Qualifications

  • Education: B.S./B.A. (business, sales, marketing, procurement, supply chain or other technical disciplines)
  • Minimum 10 years chemical industry professional experience.
  • Proven track record for developing efficient solutions, multi-tasking and producing results to support business growth aligned with strategic goals
  • Cross functional experience in purchasing chemicals, sales and or business development
  • Strong customer focus and business acumen, ability to quickly understand business strategies and ensure that business development strategies are in alignment with the business needs.
  • Hands on self-starter with the ability to handle responsibilities independently and with a strong sense of urgency in a quickly changing environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills with a passion for developing solutions and delivering support to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to create an environment where personnel are engaged and self-motivated.
  • Provide Leadership and vision to direct reports and coworkers as it relates to working toward delivery of sales growth and common corporate goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly formulate solutions to problems.
  • Proficient with ERP systems, MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
