Civil Assistant Engineer

Our customer is in search of a Junior/Assistant Engineer (with 0-2/2-4 years of experience) to enhance our existing Engineering team within our Site, Traffic, Transit, Highway, Structures, and Construction Inspection Groups.

Key responsibilities include engaging in fieldwork, conducting traffic engineering analyses for roadways and signals, performing structural analysis and bridge design, creating project component layouts in 2D and 3D, generating construction drawings and documents, conducting field observations to ensure adherence to construction plans and specifications, report writing, and cost estimating. While proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, Inroads, AutoTurn, Synchro, Vissim, and GIS software is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

The primary role involves being the main data collector in the field, organizing and supervising data collection, executing specific tasks within broader assignments handled by experienced engineers, conducting standard computations and intermediate engineering analyses, producing drawings and visual aids, overseeing construction activities, managing equipment inventory, performing signal design tasks, estimating quantities, attending project meetings with senior staff, and taking responsibility for writing report sections.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an equivalent approved qualification, along with membership in a professional practice organization. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable engineering role is a prerequisite.
