Job Overview

We are currently looking for an Enterprise Business Architect to join our team in Holland. The position hired in at will be based on experience, posting reflects minimum requirements. This position will support manufacturing and quality or logistics.

As An Enterprise Business Architect, You Will

Align strategy, process, capability, information, organizational structure and technology across business units, value streams and IT initiatives. Translates strategy into tactical deliverables. Act as a change agent, working with business and Global Information Systems (GIS) stakeholders to adopt common, best practice methods to ensure standardization and integration across the enterprise. Play a key role in shaping and fostering continuous improvement, business transformation, and business innovative initiatives within and across the value streams.

Support development of business case and prioritization for projects/requests. Advise on options, risks, costs vs benefits and impacts on other business processes and system designs and/or priorities. Design solutions to solve complex enterprise business problems and avoids silo-based approach. Develop and manages plan using appropriate methodology to implement solutions.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, IT Development, or Soultion Architect)
  • 5+ years of experience in business or Global Information Systems discipline
  • Advanced to expert Service Provider Assessment and Evaluation level knowledge of business discipline solution assigned to support
  • Advanced to expert level knowledge of architecture, application design and integration
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to work and commute onsite daily to our headquarters in Holland, MI (relocation assistance is not provided)
  • Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 25% of the time

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Business Architecture Certification
  • Proficiency in SAP modules and functionalities
  • Experience with Ignition software for industrial applications
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with 3Tec solutions
  • Expertise in implementing and managing warehouse management systems

Ideally, You Have Also Demonstrated The Following

  • Advanced Business Enterprise Knowledge: Advanced to expert level knowledge of business discipline solution will be supporting; advanced to expert level knowledge of architecture, application design and integration; advanced level knowledge of business discipline solution will be supporting; advanced level knowledge of architecture, application design and integration.
  • Commitment to On-Going Development: Assists in defining the skills, competencies, and training programs for the architecture team members to remain relevant; supports the overall training and development of the architecture, business and GIS team.
  • Advanced Strategic Thinking Skills: Takes a systems perspective that inter-relates internal and external factors for planning. Envisions, compares and contrasts multiple potential medium range operational futures. Partners with business peers in defining strategic initiatives for a particular business area.
  • Advanced Service Provider Assessment and Evaluation Skills: Leads the evaluation and selection process for external service providers. Researches and analyzes industry standards and trends for service providers and their products. Evaluates business requirements against service provider/product options; understands and articulates the impact on business results as services and products emerge in the industry.
  • Advanced Consulting Skills: Leads research and summarizes requirements for the engagement. Interprets issues within the framework of core business processes; provides substantiated, risk-assessed options and counsel in relation to process enhancement and professional expertise.
  • Advanced Level of Decisiveness: Applies values, business strategy, policies, precedent and experience to make complex decisions with uncertain consequences. Makes benchmarked, researched recommendations with contingency plans in place for potential adverse consequences. Lobbies business/GIS partners and subject matter experts for consensus in taking action that sets direction in at least one critical business function.
  • Expert Level of Initiative: Integrates future and conflicting scenarios and opportunities. Directs planning for potentially significant outcomes and contingency plans; identifies areas of high risk. Procures significant commitment of organizational resources, involving resource owners, organizational leaders, core business processes and technologies Leads step-by-step long-term responses, seeking and evaluating input from authoritative sources.
  • Advanced Level of Innovation: Challenges conventional thinking and traditional ways of operating and invites stakeholders to identify issues and opportunities. Helps others overcome resistance to change Seeks out opportunities to improve, streamline and reinvent work processes. Explores numerous potential solutions and evaluates each before accepting.
