The Brand Guild is seeking a Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing to lead and oversee the Creative and Marketing departments of the agency. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, preferably within a mid-sized agency environment.


The Brand Guild’s Creative and Marketing team manages strategy, development and implementation of brand initiatives for B2C clients across several industries. The team operates within the functional areas of creative studio, social media content, digital marketing, thought leadership, influencers, sponsorships and partnerships.

Reporting to the Co-CEO, it is essential that this candidate possess a strong passion to grow and innovate both the agency and the brands we represent. High energy and an entrepreneurial spirit are key to driving creative and marketing strategy for the firm’s growing portfolio of scaling, purpose-driven brands.


This is a hybrid position based in our Washington, D.C. office.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a leader across four departments (Creative, Social, Digital and Integrated Marketing) with a laser focus on positive company culture
  • Work with and alongside leadership from the PR and Events teams to seamlessly integrate functions, as well as across the agency to level up our client work
  • Build, maintain and grow strong client relationships
  • Own client challenges and opportunities, always with an eye towards growth
  • Lead the development of highly impactful brand strategies and roadmaps
  • Serve as the client lead when needed, for larger agency relationships
  • Contribute to thought leadership efforts for the agency, including being an external presence to raise the agency’s profile
  • Participate actively in new business initiatives including planning and contributing to pitches and presentations
  • Conceptualize, develop and execute exciting results-driven integrated marketing campaigns
  • Possess extensive knowledge of current events, industry news and trends to effectively communicate big ideas and trends to clients
  • Foster professional development, mentor team members, and motivate direct reports


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role, experience with consumer and lifestyle brands and experience in an agency environment strongly preferred
  • Highly resourceful, proactive and creative problem solver with the ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative with ability to self manage and organize daily tasks and long-term planning
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Practical experience with social media and building brands
  • Practical experience with influencer campaigns and paid media
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, and to communicate proactively, efficiently and effectively
