Coordinate and oversee daily assignments and day-to-day operations, ongoing projects, and professional development of employees
Provide leadership and continued professional development for the Departments, including the advancement of training initiatives
Promote an environment of teamwork and self-directed work teams by incorporating internal and external training methodologies and the continual evolvement of team efficiencies
Collaborate with the Office Administrative Director and/or Director of Legal Assistant Services to ensure proper daily workflow and assignments of attorney/secretarial and attorney/legal assistant teams
Assist with determining the operational support required for new cases and overall case management
Meet with attorneys regularly to determine the operational support required for new matters and overall case/deal management
Consult with attorneys to ensure proper daily and long-term work flow and assignments of attorney /secretarial and attorney/legal assistant teams
Recommend and implement changes and improvements in methods and procedures to higher level management
Monitor time, attendance, overtime, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with Firm policies
Work with the Office Administrative Director and/or Director of Legal Assistant Services to prepare and monitor department budgets and expenditures
Actively assist with coordinating work room and review space
Coordinate legal assistant staffing with supervisors and managers in other offices
Oversee employee work performance and provide guidance in the resolution of problems
Qualifications for Administrative Support Supervisor:
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 7 years of relevant administrative management experience in a law firm and/or professional services field
Demonstrated experience with leading and supervising others
Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
Working knowledge of litigation matters and corporate transactions with litigation support/legal technology experience
Proven ability to effectively lead, coordinate and implement projects, processes and change management
Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques
Ability to execute instructions and Firm policies with authority
Ability to handle more complex issues/duties requiring independent exercise of discretion and judgment
