The Electrical Estimator role at Starr Electric involves participating in pre-construction activities, ensuring project documentation accuracy, and maintaining client satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the Pre-Con Manager for safe and efficient estimations.
• Provide estimates and contribute to project planning meetings.
• Proficiently read blueprints and project documents.
• Manage incoming bid opportunities and prepare accurate bids.
• Generate takeoffs, material quotes, and cost projections reports.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and field staff.
• Utilize estimating software proficiently.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be proficient in general Microsoft applications.
• Embrace teamwork and assist in various organizational tasks.

Education, Experience, and/or Prerequisites:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in electrical construction.
