Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:

Non-Clinical

  • Check-out patients and schedule follow up appointments
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
  • Pre-cert and schedule tests/imaging/physical therapy
  • Pre-cert and schedule surgeries and procedures
  • Verifying insurance for surgery and collect surgery deductibles
  • Prepare surgery forms and packets
  • Complete work restriction forms
  • Schedule referral appointments to other physicians as needed
  • Present forms to the physician that require signature
  • Assist with patient questions
  • Assist with disability and FMLA forms
  • Assist with telephone calls and incoming messages

Clinical

  • Assist with calling patients to exam room
  • Call for reports and test results if needed
  • Assist physician and team as needed

Must Also Possess

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
  • Independent, highly motivated
  • Exhibit initiative and self-discipline
  • Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
  • Constant standing and walking or sitting for long periods of time
  • Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
  • Consistently work at a productive pace
  • Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
