Essential Job Functions

The Treasury Supervisor will support the management of various aspects of the Firm’s Treasury, Partner Accounting, and Cash Management activities. This includes responsibilities specific to day-to-day banking functions and related analysis, administration and renewal of insurance policies (non-benefit), management of certain partner related matters, and special projects as necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)

  • Provide support to Treasurer and Associate Director, Treasury on various highly confidential and sensitive matters, including review of compensation arrangements, distribution memos, and loan documentation for partners
  • Support management of non-benefit insurance matters (primarily Property/Casualty, General Liability, and Workers’ Compensation), including the annual insurance renewal process, certificates of insurance, claims management, and payment of premiums
  • Prepare/update personalized Partner cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare/update new Partner orientation materials
  • Prepare/review Partner distribution upload files
  • Prepare/review partner compensation G/L activity
  • Assist in recommending borrowing strategies through cost analysis, modeling and analytics
  • Provide back-up for daily cash administration and analysis process
  • Verify and process wire payments and ACHs, ensuring proper coding and approval
  • Administer the Firm’s credit agreement, including monthly compliance reporting
  • Prepare/record Treasury specific journal entries; support external auditors information requirements during Firm’s annual audit
  • Participate in other tasks/projects as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • The Treasury Supervisor will have at least 5 years of previous experience in an accounting, finance, treasury, or partner accounting role in a law firm or professional services industry, showing progressive growth in responsibilities
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required
  • Candidates should be detail oriented, possess strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills and have an understanding of finance, banking, insurance, and accounting concepts
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to take ownership of his/her assigned responsibilities with limited supervision
  • Individuals are expected to exhibit strong customer service, be highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Technologies/Software

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required
