What You'll Do

As a Global Curriculum Developer, you will be part of the dynamic Global Education Team, designing learning experiences that inspire passion in Dermalogica Professional Skin Therapists and Medical Esthetic Service Providers around the world. This role will utilize innovative teaching methods for in-person workshops and creative authoring tools for online courses.

You will be the expert voice and resource to create workshops and learning tools for Dermalogica’ s professional products and services, as well as retail products and selling techniques. You will create and maintain all curriculum pieces related to trade and consumer. This highly visible role will demonstrate an advanced understanding of skin and product knowledge, expert skin therapy skills, and brand enthusiasm, positively contributing to Dermalogica’ s success.

This position is located in Carson, CA, so we require candidates who are local.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design and Development

  • Create curriculum and associated resources using the latest training techniques for maximum impact.
  • Create engaging learning activities that test learners’ knowledge and enhance the education process.
  • Maintain an advanced curriculum designed to upskill medical-based Professional Skin Therapists and Service providers.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Support storyboarding and the creation of engaging and dynamic e-learning courses or workshops.
  • Develop written and visual content including PowerPoint decks, training manuals, blogs, articles, video scripts, and science animation scripts.
  • Partner with the Innovation and Technology Manager to design 3-D science animations.

Training and Education

  • Consult with subject matter experts to identify vital information for course content.
  • Develop training frameworks for product innovation launches, including live-stream presentations.
  • Create, direct, and participate in training videos and visual resources for services and products.
  • Support the Global Education Team with class revisions, new class structures, meetings, seminars, and training.

Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively develops skills to maintain a high standard of educational delivery.
  • Represent Dermalogica to the highest standard

What You'll Bring

Key Qualifications:

  • Current CA Estheticians license required
  • Five (5) plus years of hands-on experience in esthetic services including medspa service required
  • Previous experience with Dermalogica products and protocols preferred

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Experience with Articulate 360 curriculum authoring tool a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Upbeat, positive attitude
  • Flexibility
  • Driver’s License required

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel at least 10% (includes occasional overnight/weekend travel) required
  • Ability to support flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when required
  • Ability to be in Carson, CA office minimum of 3 days per week required
  • Ability to travel by car and plane for business purposes.

The expected base salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
