Internal Communications Manager

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career

We have a newly created position for an Internal Communications Manager! This key position is integral in the development of strategic communications plans to support TJX and divisional business objectives, including driving the Associate experience and business results. Working as a strategic partner across functions, this manager will be responsible for Associate-facing communications strategies for assigned divisions/departments. They will develop relationships with key leaders and peers, with a focus on sustaining the unique TJX culture through communications and building trust as a business advisor and influential partner. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week on site in our Framingham, MA headquarters.

What You Will Do:

Division/Department Internal Communications | Leadership and Alignment

  • Partner with division/department leaders on communications planning and execution in alignment with the TJX and divisional business priorities to enable results including:
  • Collaborating closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts to develop key Associate-facing messages and engagement opportunities, such as: State of the Company Meetings, Town Halls, organizational messaging and materials, and celebratory and engagement events.
  • Partner with other respective divisional Internal Communications Managers to collaborate and share consistent practices, leverage materials, and align priorities when appropriate.
  • Align with other key contacts and establish relationships with various functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Store Operations and Distribution Services.
  • Establish effective internal communications processes and identify strategic opportunities for the future (i.e., communications gaps and barriers to effectively message Associates).

Corporate Internal Communications | Strategy and Stakeholder Management

  • Provide guidance and creation for effective Associate-facing internal communications for assigned Corporate partners, including those leading large-scale growth and/or change initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners on communications plans, including socializing communications for review, and partnering on execution.
  • Develop and refine communications plans and processes so groups are delivering effective broad-facing internal communication campaigns targeted to right audiences at the right time.


Who We Are Looking For: You

  • 5-7 years Corporate Communications Management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of effective corporate communications strategy and best practices
  • Outstanding writing and editing abilities and developed oral communication skills
  • Strategic problem solver with ability to ask questions, see opportunities, connect the dots and influence change
  • Executive presence, poise and demonstrated prior experience working with senior executives and managers within a matrixed corporate environment
  • Ability to manage and lead change processes along with developed project management skills and ability to handle a large volume of projects simultaneously
  • Consistent execution against timelines and attention to detail
  • Understanding of evaluation including quantitative and qualitative measurement and data analysis
  • Excellent judgement, team leadership, along with a customer service focus
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal partners across the organization
  • Must be proficient in MS Office 365 including PowerPoint and SharePoint

Position has a starting salary range of $90,200 to $115,200 per year

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
