Job Overview

The incumbent will determine space allocations within facilities for Maxwell Gunter.

Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Evaluate existing spaces.
  • Program new facilities and evaluate existing spaces.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of available space, considering unit requirements, building conditions and mission dependencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Five (5) year Bachelor or a Master’s degree in architecture from an NCARB Accredited University and meets the Position Classification Standards for Community Planner Series (0020); OR Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning or Political Science from an Accredited PAB University; OR a bachelor’s or higher degree in a major appropriate to the community-planning field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in general construction with expertise in civil, electrical, and mechanical work.
  • Completion of WMGT 519 and WENG 400.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.  
  • Shall be present on base during normal duty hours and available for after-hour responses.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card. 
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. 
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.  
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.  
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • U.S. Citizenship.  
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
