Sr. Director of Strategic Finance

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Director of Strategic Finance will play a pivotal role in the growth of Cardone Ventures by producing key metric-based financial models, dashboards, and conducting continuous synergy reviews across the BuySell company portfolio. Additionally, the Sr. Director will conduct exploratory and confirmatory due diligence on prospective investment opportunities, assist in capital formation/investor relations and investment strategy for Cardone Equity Group, and oversee strategic finance and strategy endeavors as assigned. This role will also act as the de facto chief of staff to the CFO/COO, ensuring alignment across internal finance functions and the relevant client/partner ecosystem. This position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in strategy planning and execution, strategic finance, investment analysis, investor relations, and operational leadership.

OBJECTIVES

Business Development Strategic Financial Execution:

• Work with C-Suite to develop, maintain, and document formal investment thesis.
• Support strategic development, planning, and execution for Cardone Ventures across all lines of business with a particular focus on BuySell, principal investing, and Cardone Equity Group.
• Create materials for communicating with stakeholders, execute and manage strategic post-investment initiatives with partners and portfolio companies.
• Build dashboards and tools for monitoring existing portfolios.
• Collaborate with portfolio company executives/SBUs to execute critical EV impacting initiatives.
• Manage investment pipelines and due diligence, aligning investment pipelines and capital allocation parameters with the company's objectives and risk tolerance.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective investments, analyzing financial statements, market trends, and other relevant factors to determine suitability for inclusion in the corporate balance sheet or equity funds.
• Work with the legal team to draft relevant LOIs/MOUs for prospective investments.
• Standardize diligence readouts for executive leadership to make expedient and informed decisions.
• Act as the de facto chief of staff to the CFO and COO, facilitating cross-functional communication, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Client 10X BuySell Engagement:

• Develop and implement a unified framework for standardizing business metrics across various client portfolios, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
• Collaborate with BuySell leadership to further product offerings in line with the roadmap
• approved by the CFO.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals (BuySell), fostering a culture of personal development, collaboration, and team growth.
• Present and train business owners and clients on finance matters.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to Cardone Ventures’ analysts and clients (BuySell; FEW), directly supporting their business growth and financial health.

Cardone Equity Group Responsibilities:

• Support fund structuring, fund offering, and development of fundraising materials.
• Participate in efforts to raise capital for equity funds and engage with current and
• prospective investors.
• Collaborate with the CFO, CEO, and outside counsel to develop all fund documents and
• marketing materials for fundraising.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ Years of experience in Investment banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Corporate M&A
• Extensive experience in strategy planning and execution, strategic finance, investment analysis, investor relations, and operational leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and significant experience with financial modeling, financial analysis, and SMB valuations.
• Excellent leadership and team development abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
