We are looking for a seasoned Creative Director/Copywriter to join our dynamic marketing team and lead our brand vision while crafting compelling copy.

The Creative Director/Copywriter will oversee the design team and ensure the alignment of all creative work with Suzy’s brand vision. This role requires a blend of strategic leadership, creative direction, and hands-on copywriting to produce impactful marketing content across various channels. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Creative Services.

Responsibilities

Creative Leadership:

  • Maintain and articulate Suzy’s brand vision that resonates with our target audience.
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and ensuring high standards of creative output.
  • Drive the vision of the brand forward across both growth and customer marketing to align creative strategies with business goals.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Oversee the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring all projects meet objectives and are executed flawlessly.
  • Have a deep understanding of social media platforms and a desire to constantly learn about new products and features rolling out to ensure Suzy’s creative is driving innovation.

Copywriting

  • Evaluate and understand datasets and survey results to write thoughtful and insightful copy, supplementing with external research as needed.
  • Craft engaging and persuasive copy for a variety of channels including website, email campaigns, social media, product descriptions, and enablement materials.
  • Leverage internal AI tools to create copy drafts when possible, becoming an expert at prompting AI engines for best results and editing outputs.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all written materials.
  • Develop compelling narratives that effectively communicate Suzy’s value proposition and differentiate us from competitors.
  • Review and proof work created by third party teams for accuracy and compliance to brand standards.

Brand Management

  • Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual and verbal identity, ensuring all creative work is on-brand and consistent.
  • Oversee the creation of brand guidelines and ensure they are adhered to across all marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Lead the development of creative assets for major marketing campaigns, product launches, and key initiatives.

Innovation And Trends

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to keep Suzy’s creative work fresh and innovative.
  • Implement new creative approaches and strategies to improve the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Continue to experiment with AI solutions to supplement work and find efficient methods for copy at scale.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the VP, Marketing to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for net new and existing customers.
  • Partner with the VP, Product Marketing product team to understand key features and benefits, translating them into compelling customer-centric narratives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create impactful sales enablement materials.

Qualifications

  • Online portfolio, Behance, Instagram or other way to show your work
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a creative leadership role and experience writing for a SaaS product or tech company. Market research experience is a plus.
  • Experience writing for B2B audiences
  • Proven track record of developing successful creative campaigns that drive business results.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience writing short form and long form content.
  • Experience using ChatGPT and/or other AI tools
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into creative strategies.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
