As a Business Analyst/Agilist, you will be an experienced leader that works closely with project stakeholders and coaches cross-functional agile teams to deliver and support complex software capabilities and offerings. The Business Analyst/Agilist leads requirements identification and elicits stakeholder goals/needs while also guiding and facilitating the Scrum and/or Kanban teams involved in a large, fast-paced program implementing complex technology for business-oriented solutions. This individual enables the effective application of the Agile lifecycle and associated ceremonies, ensuring the agreed-upon agile practice is being followed, removes impediments and fosters a high-performing team with a focus on continuous improvement for quality and timely delivery.


The key responsibilities of a Business Analyst/Agilist include:

  • Facilitate requirement identification
  • Document user requirements as backlog items
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify goals and project priorities
  • Works closely with clients to define the business problem, issues and planned approach for one or more engagement components
  • Oversee and manage scope, timeline, quality, goals, and deliverables that support business goals
  • Guide, coach, and motivate teams with the goal of increasing productivity
  • Organize and lead agile ceremonies
  • Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on productive conflict resolution and problem-solving
  • Prepare and present deliverables including monthly status reports
  • Coordinate activities with other teams across the program
  • Monitor delivery health by understanding and leveraging metrics, delivery dashboards, risk mitigation strategies, dependency coordination, and feedback loops.
  • Manage Sprint and Product backlogs
  • Oversees performance of engagement data collection, research and reporting activities and staff
  • Leads analyses for key solution elements

  • Ability to understand technical issues at a high level and communicate agile methodologies within the organization
  • Strong ability to manage multiple agile teams and ensure a proper balance between client, business and technology teams, and management
  • Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex problems
  • B.S. or B.A. degree required
  • Minimum experience requirements: twelve (12) years of experience required
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US Citizenship)
  • Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen


Preferred skills for this position:

  • Agile certification


Location: Dayton/Cincinnati/Columbus, OH area highly preferred, remote considered
