Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant. This role is responsible for various accounting duties related to our U.S and international subsidiaries. The Senior Corporate Accountant is expected to take ownership of the consolidation process and ensure information is received, processed, and analyzed timely. This role’s responsibilities also include various deliverables related to monthly/quarterly internal and external reporting as well as external auditor deliverables. The Senior Accountant will also be involved in various cross-functional projects in support of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. If this sounds like the position for you, please read on!

What You will be doing:

• Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of the Company’s financial reporting through the preparation and analysis of financial information in accordance with US GAAP.
• Responsible for month-end and Quarter-end close
• Prepares and maintains prepaid amortization schedules
• Prepares journal entries to record monthly accruals
• Prepares Balance sheets and P&L variance analysis to identify issues regarding operational performance or accuracy of reported results
• Coordinates and review intercompany eliminations and reconciliations
• Completes account reconciliation for the assigned areas of responsibility
• Adheres the financial close deadlines
• Addresses Audit inquiries
• Assists in the preparation of the quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Analyzes foreign currency transactions and related issues
• Presents ideas and implement streamlining and improvement opportunities
• Actively communicates with other departments to understand the processes within the Finance and Accounting areas
• Cross trains within corporate accounting team
• Processes documentation
• Special projects

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5 plus years General Ledger and Corporate accounting/Consolidation experience with the middle size public company
• over $500M in revenue
• Experience in consolidating several subsidiaries
• Experience with large ERP systems
• Problem solver – self-starter, applies broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues
