Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Bleakley Financial Group – Fairfield, NJ

Position Overview:

Bleakley Financial Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all aspects of financial diligence. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing financial operations within the financial services industry, including investment advisers, securities broker-dealers, and investment banking firms. The CFO will provide financial insight to executive management, support strategic initiatives, and enhance the organization's financial structure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Analyze advisory fee revenue, sub-advisory fees, program fees, commissions, and general and administrative expenses.
• Manage financial risks and ensure the organization's financial stability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and senior management team.
• Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to make critical business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
• Stay current on SEC and FINRA requirements, contributing to SEC ADV filings and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage financial aspects of regulatory exams and inquiries, including SEC net capital requirements and FOCUS filings.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax filings.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments to improve financial processes and systems continuously.
• Manage and motivate the finance team to achieve their goals and deliver high-quality work.
• Oversee the accounting team to ensure transactions are accurate and timely, including payroll, AP, AR and cash.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CFO or Financial Operations Principal in the financial services industry. Five plus years in the role as CFO.
• Deep knowledge of industry best practices, risks, and challenges facing independent financial services firms.
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis within the context of investment advisers and broker-dealers.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA is a plus.
• FINRA Series 27 (Financial Operations) license is required; Series 7 license is a plus.
