Job Description

Jitterbit is seeking a Director of Communications who will be responsible for developing effective messaging and communication strategies. They must create and oversee the creation of promotional and informative materials the company will send to the public; as well as oversee internal company communications and employer branding. They’ll work with multiple forms of media, including press releases and digital media, print materials, audio, and video and more.

Reporting directly to the CMO, they will work in a leadership role on the communication side of the marketing team, working to ensure the organization maintains a positive image by overseeing, and approving any company information or announcements before they’re released to the public.

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure all company materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding.
  • Own all public relations activities, including fielding media requests, press releases, award submissions, management of PR firms, executive profiles, media training and budget process
  • Work toward developing relationships with media outlets and other companies
  • Responsible for social media strategy and communication
  • Work with internal stakeholders to expand Gartner and G2 peer review programs to build positive image and credibility for the brand
  • Ensure consistent tone of voice and messaging in all customer, partner and prospect communications

Key relationships will include:

  • Supporting the CMO and global marketing organization, liasing with the regional marketing leaders
  • Regional PR agencies
  • Share analyst relationships with product marketing leaders
  • Executive staff
  • Product management and sales

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Great presentation and communication skills – comfortable presenting in a variety of platforms
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of AP style
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff
  • Creativity to produce exciting and interesting content
  • Organizational skills to multitask and prioritize projects while working on deadlines or in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical capability to work in a variety of digital platforms

Experiences:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in communications, PR or marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, public relations or related field
  • Background in SaaS, cloud or tech a plus
  • Experience working with global teams
