IT Systems Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Analyst to join our growing team. As an IT Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our internal users, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user requests for technical assistance, resolving issues and providing solutions in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
• Identify and escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or vendors, as required.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updating software and performing backups.
• Create and maintain user accounts and permissions.
• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
• Create and update technical documentation, including user guides and training materials.
• Directly participate in new hire onboarding.
• Provide user training and support for standard office applications and software.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience supporting technology (Laptops, servers, networks, etc).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other standard office applications.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, are a plus.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $55,000.00 to $75,000.00. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
