A Welder Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, pipes, and equipment. This role requires expertise in welding techniques, blueprint reading, and precision measurements.
Responsibilities
Welding:
Perform various types of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Fabrication
Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
Shape and assemble metal components using manual or automated tools.
Equipment Operation
Operate welding equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Quality Control
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Ensure welds meet industry standards and project specifications.
Safety Compliance
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
Collaboration
Work closely with other team members, such as engineers and designers.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Project Management
Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills And Qualifications
Welding Expertise:
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Ability to weld various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Blueprint Reading
Interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Fabrication Skills
Experience in cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
Precision Measurement
Accurate measurement skills for precise fabrication.
Safety Awareness
Knowledge of safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
Problem Solving
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to welding and fabrication.

Education And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Welding certification or relevant vocational training is a plus.
Previous Experience As a Welder Fabricator Is Preferred.
