A prominent plaintiff side law firm is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to oversee the Marketing Department and liaise directly with the Firm's Partners on marketing and communications-based decisions. The ideal candidate is an ambitious and enthusiastic self-starter who is familiar with social media (X, LinkedIn, etc.) and internet-based communications and marketing. Candidates must have a proven track record of successfully executing marketing and communications initiatives. Excellent written and oral communications skills and a strong grasp of industry conventions for writing to different audiences are vital to the role. The candidate should be an organized and creative problem-solver who can closely follow direction in a fast-paced work environment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
* Generate visibility for the firm, the firm's attorneys, and the firm's work through traditional and internet communications and media.
* Ensure consistent attorney participation with in-person and online events with monthly social media and events calendars.
* Creation of social media posts, management of attorney bios, blog posts, thought leader publications, print and digital advertising.
* Expand the firm's social media presence via Facebook, X, YouTube and other marketing sites.
* Manage marketing budget, relationships with vendors and other service professionals.
* Draft press releases for select cases, coordinate press conferences and other firm hosted events, organize and track firm press and media contacts.
* Devise media outreach plans, coordinate press conferences and other firm hosted events.
* Day to day communication with Partners
* Oversee large scale projects as needed.
The salary for this position ranges between $100-$175k depending upon experience.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field.
*3-6 years of experience in marketing or business development, preferably within a law firm.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as WordPress.
*Experience creating social media content and overseeing social media accounts
*Experience creating written copy including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, etc.
