Join an established and growing Casino game creator known for product innovation in land-based games as a Senior Game Math Designer.

The Senior Game Math Designer will be at the forefront of crafting the mathematical models and algorithms that define the gameplay experience. We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our game development team, who will take on the challenge of designing complex game systems and balancing mechanics for a diverse range of games.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Develop and refine mathematical models that drive game mechanics, including probability, risk, and economy systems.
  • Collaborate with game designers and developers to integrate mathematical models that enhance gameplay and player engagement.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to understand player behavior and use insights to adjust game mechanics for optimal player satisfaction.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of simulation tools to test and tweak game models.
  • Mentor junior game math designers, fostering a collaborative environment and sharing advanced mathematical techniques and industry best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest trends in gaming math and propose innovative solutions to improve existing game designs.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing critical feedback and suggestions to ensure game balance and fairness.
  • Document mathematical models and algorithms clearly and comprehensively for use by the game development team.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in game design with a focus on mathematical modeling.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, or similar, with a strong understanding of algorithmic design.
  • Experience with statistical tools and software, such as R or MATLAB, to analyze data and build models.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for games and a deep understanding of game mechanics and player psychology.

  • The role is based in Las Vegas, NV
  • It is in-office 5 days per week
