Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Principal is responsible for developing and growing long-term client relationships that contribute to the growth and vision of the company. This role also leads strategic initiatives that promote the expansion of our product portfolio, while listening closely to the voice of the customer and enhancing the ease of doing business for our clients.

Areas of Focus:

  • Lead and/or participate in developing solutions for current and prospective clients by understanding business requirements and turning them into tangible deliverables to achieve revenue goals for our organization and our clients.
  • Present solutions to clients; provide detailed proposals, specifications, estimates and project plans that are easily understood by our clients and our team members.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing on sales contracts; secure orders from existing and new accounts, while eliminating barriers that are affecting organizational performance.
  • Implement sold contract programs and identify opportunities to expand client offerings; track revenue and manage expense budgets
  • Lead/Participate in strategic initiatives and projects that promote sales growth
  • Develop and maintain a professional network within the community; cultivate new client relationships and monitor competitive activity in the marketplace
  • People Leadership responsibility - leadership of the client team and cultivates the skills of Associates, Specialists and Interns; may formally have a span of care
  • Coordinates and integrates the work of others to avoid duplication of effort, while intervening appropriately to remove obstacles.
  • Empowers others with meaningful decision making and ownership.
  • Other responsibilities as needed to help drive to our vision, mission and live by our values
  • Ability to build trusting relationships internally and externally quickly, while brining strong contributions to meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Well organized and able to manage multiple workstreams with an ability to meet deadlines with high quality products and projects.
  • Strong understanding of our value proposition and an ability to articulate that for internal and external teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; master’s degree preferred
  • Typically has 5-7 years of experience in business development, consulting, professional services delivery, account management, or senior leadership
