Catholic Charities Atlanta provides services that empower families to overcome barriers and achieve self-sufficiency. This VISTA position will serve in the metro Atlanta area to support recruitment and retention of volunteers for the expansion of the Adult Education Program. In addition, the VISTA will support and develop new volunteer opportunities, participate in establishing community partnerships, and develop a guide for future use for onboarding volunteers and staff. This VISTA position is a part of Catholic Charities USA’s Family Strengthening Program, a national intermediary project. As a member, you will meet virtually with VISTA Leaders and other VISTAs serving throughout the country, all focused on alleviating poverty.

Member Duties : 1. Develop volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups in adult English classes in Chamblee and Lilburn locations 2. Recruit volunteers to assist with Adult Education program efforts 3. Develop training materials for volunteers 4. Draft training manual for volunteers 5. Pilot training materials with volunteers
