I hope 2018 started good for all of you. During the recent weeks I didn’t have enough time to create something new, but now I'm back creating again. I promise I will do my best to blog more often as last year.

Postcard 'Nature Study'

Today once more I like to share with you another postcard I just finished. This time I created a postcard with flowers and of course postal themed elements. 

Here in Germany autumn is in the air. I like the autumn colors and smells, but my heart feels sad to say good-bye to summer ... I just like those long summer days and nights relaxing outside in the garden. Due to this I thought it would be nice to create a card with some flower elements to extend this summer feelings.

New Treasures

again I found some amazing little frozen charlottes. 

They are great for almost any project. They fit in niches in altered books, in shadow boxes and they are small and light enough to be used in jewelry or even Christmas ornaments. 

They have so much character, and I just love their potential for symbolism!

In the past frozen charlotte dolls were often used to cool hot tea, or baked into breads, and larger ones were even designed to float on their backs in the bath. The history behind frozen charlottes is just amazing.

Leather- Bound Notebook

 Dear blogging friends,

Yes, I'm still around! Currently the daily routines keep me away from being more creative. I have the feeling that the days are just flying by.  Thus, during the recent weeks I indeed didn’t have enough time to create something new, to visit blogs or to post anything. I hope that I soon will have the time to be creative as usual.

But, today I like to show you at least this note book. I've made it some time ago for a dear friend. It measures about 3.1" by 2.2"

 

I've used some brass ornaments and old watch parts to decorate the cover and for the insides Nick Bantock rubber stamps.

old hymnals with brass claps

Dear blogging friends, as you all know I like old stuff and flea markets are my favorite shopping spots.

Today I like to show you some of my books which I collected over the years - with gilt edges and beautiful old closures.

I’m just thinking about to remove these closures and mount those on my self-made books. 

But I’m still not sure whether I really should “destroy” those lovely old books. I don't know what to do.

 What  would you do?

Note Cards

Hi folks,

Today I like to share with you some mailart note cards. I had a wonderful time creating these little cards ... I simply couldn't stop making them.

 I think they are perfect for a short message.  

I've used of course a few stamps of my new postage stamp plate.

Mail Art and new Rubber Stamps

Today once more I like to share with you a Mail Art postcard I just finished. I've used a few of my new rubber stamps.

Recently I found this rubber stamp plate...a real bargain. A gorgeous stamp set with postage themed Nick Bantock stamps. I was on cloud nine, because this plate is out of production since many years.
