editCasey is the native of San Francisco, California. He is the Irish Catholic son of a Police Officer. He graduated from St. Ignatiius High School and San Francisco State University. Mr. Casey's San Francico roots can be seen in the series of photos that are showcased in the intoduction of "Cheers". These photos are taken from the book, "Golden Age of San Francisco" and show the bar, brothel, & street life of 1890's San Francisco. The "Sam Malone" character can also be seen as a tip of the hat to Casey's Irish heritage. Like Casey, George Wendt and John Ratzenberger also attended Catholic High School. Like Casey, Wendt also attended a Jesuit High School.
I removed this unsourced material from the article. Maybe it's legit and can be recovered by someone interested in this article. Jason Quinn (talk) 16:00, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
