Crabapples, and mixing common names with cultivar names
editI don't think this template should include crabapples because it is misleading to suggest that they are as edible as apples are. Perhaps a separate template could be made for them. Also, the common names used for the species are not distinguished from the cultivar names, though they are very different in that a species is rarely planted for human use, but a cultivar by definition is.Sminthopsis84 (talk) 15:41, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Moving down into subcategory
editI've created Category:Apple templates as a subcategory for Category:Botany templates. I think this Cat belongs in there. Any objections? Invasive Spices (talk) 19:52, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
