The truck

I took one of my boys old toy truck and went wild :)

I can't tell you how much I love finnabairs rust paste! It is easy to get addictive to :)

This truck was first painted with black heavy gesso and then all the silver details was painted with copper metallic paint.The gears where treated the same way and I also painted the gears with the rust paste before I glued the on and lastly the truck got painted with rust as well. I used two yellow bling on the lamps on top. On the tiers I used a little platinum inka gold to highlight the structure.

This project is a DT project for Words&Paintery this month and I also used 13arts challenge this month as inspiration; "steampunk".

And o course I had to have A LOT of detail pics to really show it of :) I loved to make this one!!

I dream of flying!

My dream.

I dream of flying. Both in real life and when I am sleeping.  I have been bungy jumping, skydiving, been on a helicopter and love hiking in the mountings. I simply love high heights and one of my next goals is hang gliding :)

At night when you're sleeping, you can actually fly for real and those dreams are the coolest! The feeling is just amazing!

For this project I was inspired by MixedMediaPlace's creative gym challenge "Dreams":

At first I was going to do an art journal spread but when I sat down at my desk I saw this wooden doll on the shelf and thought "That one would be cool to alter!"
I had these chipboard wings from 2Crafty that just worked perfectly for this project. With a little gears and harlequin chipboards, gold color bloom and rust paste I had my dream project :)

I wanted to give the doll a reaching/flying pose.

 I have also used some beads in different sizes to get some extra structure.

I used the chipboard word "experience" at the bottom (also from 2crafty)

Always follow your dreams!

 

Yesterday was my first day over at 2CraftChipboards! :D I can't tell you how excited I am! Hop on over there to see my first blogpost.

This was the first project I did and it also has got a process video. I made it inspired by Mixed Media Place mood board.

I was inspired by the colors as well as the quote. I wanted to make something about me, something I always wanted to do and have in my life. So this palette represents both mixed media scrapbooking as well as my color and paint hobby.

I loved the colors! From the very pale beige to the very dark pink and then white lettering on top of that.

BE YOU - tags.

Here are two tags i made a few days ago.

They are made from three different inspiration sourses, ScrapAfricas moodboard, Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2016 and the mini challenge over at MoreThanWordsChallenge.

This first one is the one I entered with in MTWC and Tim Holts tags challenge. It is made with a lot of black gesso, red acryllic paint and two different inka golds.

The title is a play with words  "life is BE YOU tiful!

The second one ismade after ScrapAfricas moodboard. I did not enter in the challenge though. Didn't have time since I was "kidnapped" this weekend by my siblings :)

Instead of inka gold and black gesso I used white gesso, emobossing powders and glimmer mists.
