Hyökyvuoren pysäköintihalli #3 / Parking garage

 

Kaksi viikkoa kulunut, kun viimeksi postasin tätä parkkitaloa. Se nousee aika nopeasti. Vielä yksi kerros ainakin tulee lisää. Kuvat on otettu minun parvekkeelta. Onneksi kadun vaahterat vielä vähän suojaa.

It's been two weeks since I last posted about this garage. It goes up pretty quickly. There will be at least one more layer. The pictures were taken from my balcony. Fortunately, the street maples still provide some protection.

Helsingissä

 

Pikapyrähdys Helsingissä. 

Ja Lasipalatsin aukion kattoikkunoita ja vihreitä patsaita taas kuvailemassa.

I made a quick visit to Helsinki. 

My friend and I sat on the terrace and looked at the skylights and green statues of Lasipalats Square.

 

Pieni ja iso istumassa. / Small and big.

Voi sitä näin keskustassakin ottaa aurinkoa.

You can sunbathe in the city center too.

Hämmästelen aina Helsingin keskustaan saapuessani, kuinka paljon siellä onkaan ihmisiä.

Kotona Kivenlahdessa ei ole mitään ruuhkaa.

I am always amazed when I arrive in the center of Helsinki, how many people there are.

There is no traffic jam at home in Kivenlahti.

Vihreä Kivenlahti / Green Kivenlahti

Me saimme myös helteet, onneksi meri hieman viilentää.

We also got the heat, luckily the sea is cooling down a bit.

Uusi rantaraitti / New beach road

 

Saatiin vihdoinkin rantaosuus käyttöön. Reilu vuosi sitä rakennettiin, ts. tekivät suuren esteen tulvavedelle, joka sateisena kautena nousi reunalla olevien rivitalojen kellareihin ym. Vähän lisää vihreyttä, niin kiva tulee.

For more than a year, this part of the beach was built, i.e. they made a big barrier to the flood water, 

which during the rainy season rose into the basements of the row houses on the edge, etc. 

Now it is ready. A little more greenery, and it will be super nice.

Joutsenperhe / The swan family

Joka vuotinen joutsen pariskunta poikasineen. Poikasia on nyt enää kolme kappaletta.

Every year a pair of swans with chicks. Now there are only three chicks left.

Pienet heräävät "päiväunilta". / The little ones wake up from their "day nap".

Hieman sukimista... / A little bit of squirming.

Äiti näyttää mallia, täydellinen umpisolmuasento.

Mom shows the model, perfect closed knot position.

Keräännytään yhteen veteenmenoa varten. Eräällä poikasella ei ole mitään kiirettä..

Let's gather together for a swim. One chick is in no hurry..

 

Hyökyvuoren pysäköintihalli #2 / Parking garage

 

Pysäköintitalon rakentaminen edistyy.

The construction of the parking garage is progressing.

Valmista pitäisi olla tämän vuoden lopussa.

It should be ready at the end of this year.

Tämä parkkihalli on kuulemma tarkoitettu uusille tulevien tornitalojen asukkaille

 (niitä ei ole vielä edes aloitettu rakentaa). Kukaan ei ymmärrä, mikä kiire tällä sitten oli.

This parking garage is reportedly intended for the new residents of the future tower blocks

 (they haven't even started to be built yet). Nobody understand what the rush was.

Ei edes ilta-aurinko tee tätä kauniimmaksi.

Even the evening sun doesn't make this any more beautiful.
