Product Description
The Complete Second Season: 18 Original Episodes
Season Two of the comedy series about the twisted inner workings of a late-night talk show, and its host, comes to DVD.
Larry Sanders (Garry Shandling) is a neurotic late-night talk show host flanked by Artie (Rip Torn), his caustic, foul-mouthed producer, and Hey Now Hank Kingsley (Jeffrey Tambor), his attention-thirsty sidekick. Off-air it is all train wrecks and egos, but when the lights go down and the theme music kicks in, you get late-night at its finest.
Also starring Linda Doucett, Janeane Garofalo, Penny Johnson, Wallace Langham , Bob Odenkirk, Jeremy Piven and written and produced by Garry Shandling, Peter Tolan and Judd Apatow, The Larry Sanders Show was the hippest TV show . . . probably ever.
Guest stars include Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Alec Baldwin, Phil Hartman, David Letterman and Kevin Nealon, just to name a few.

And if by chance the hosts of the real world talk shows did not watch Larry, you can be sure they had their assistants combing through each and every episode scanning for references to themselves ("What did Larry Sanders say about ME?").
Nah, those guys, and all talk show hosts since, love and treasure the series. No two ways about it. :>

The Larry Sanders Show is a real gem of TV comedy that I am proud to say is one of my favourite shows of all time. Containing 18 episodes (see below), Season 2 is both longer and funnier than season 1. Our trio of main characters (Larry, Hank and Arty) are now in perfect sync with each other, shooting off memorable (and usually quite subtle) one-liners that will make you want to rewind and hear them again and again. We also get appearances from a huge array of real-life celebrity guests to spice things up even further.
Episode list
1 and 2. The Breakdown parts 1 & 2 (featuring Dana Delany, Helen Hunt and Teri Garr)
3. The List (Alec Baldwin, Ed Begley Jr and Daniel Baldwin)
4. The Stalker (Corbin Bernsen)
5. Larry's Agent (Barry Levinson)
6. The Hankerciser 200
7. Life Behind Larry (Bobcat Goldthwait, Tom Snyder and David Letterman)
8. Artie's Gone (Bruno Kirby)
9. Larry Loses Interest (Joan Embry)
10. Larry's Partner
11. Broadcast Nudes (Hugh Hefner)
12. Larry's Birthday (Sugar Ray Leonard)
13. Being There (Gary Kemp)
14. Performance Artist (Roseanne Arnold, Tom Arnold, Jay Leno)
15. Hank's Wedding (Ed McMahon, Adam Sandler)
16. Off Camera (John Ritter)
17. The Grand Opening (Jerry Seinfeld, Burt Reynolds, Martin Mull)
18. L.A. or N.Y. (Howard Stern, Chris Farley)
I can also say the price, at £18, is very reasonable. The DVD box has been put together quite nicely with 3 disks having 6 episodes each. A minor gripe is the lack of subtitles but I can manage without them.
