Letters to the Editor

The Camera welcomes letters from readers. Timely topics of local interest are given first preference. All letters are subject to editing. Our guidelines: Maximum length for letters is 300 words; Name, full address and daytime phone required; no anonymous or open letters; No name-calling or ad hominem attacks; each writer limited to one letter or guest opinion in any rolling 30-day period; submissions must be sent by email. Guest Opinions

The Daily Camera welcomes guest opinions from readers on local, state or national topics of interest to the community. Maximum length for guest opinions is 700 words. There are strict guidelines for guest opinions. Anyone interested in writing a guest opinion should review those guidelines. Each writer is limited to no more than four guest opinions per year, and no more than one letter or guest opinion in any rolling 30-day period. Guest opinions are exclusive to the Daily Camera and those submitted to other news outlets (online and/or print) inside Boulder County will not be considered for publication by the Daily Camera. Submissions must be sent using this form.

Milestones

Celebration Ads (engagement, wedding, anniversary, graduation) are a paid service of the Boulder Daily Camera, Broomfield Enterprise, Longmont Times-Call, Loveland Reporter-Herald, and the Colorado Hometown Weekly and are placed through the Classified Advertising Department. Ads publish Wednesdays in the Colorado Hometown Weekly and in all other publications on Sundays. The deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday for publication in the Sunday products and 4 p.m. Thursday for submission in the Colorado Hometown Weekly.

Obituaries

Obituaries are a paid service of the Boulder Daily Camera, Longmont Times-Call, Loveland Reporter Herald, and Colorado Hometown Weekly and are placed through the Classified Advertising Department.

Residents who wish to place an obituary of a friend or loved one may do so through the funeral service provider that handled the arrangements of the deceased. Those who choose not to use the services of a funeral home will be required to pay the cost of publication prior to an obituary placement.

Submissions for Friday Magazine’s Holiday Guide, which runs Thanksgiving weekend in Friday Magazine, are due in mid-November. Submit your holiday events on our calendar and we will pull them out for the Guide.

Submissions for the annual listings of Holiday Craft Fairs and Bazaars, which runs in mid-November, are due in early November. They are typically submitted via e-mail and that address will be published in the Fall.
