The CFG remains operational and under the direction of Dr. Richard Cummings, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, and as part of his NIH supported center, the
National Center for Functional Glycomics (NCFG)

We continue to offer the CFG mammalian-type glycan microarray, as well as the microbial glycan microarray with over 300 targets present. In addition, the NCFG also offers several other microarrays. We also review requests for the remaining glycan compound available through the CFG. If you would like to request the use of glycan arrays, or these remaining compounds please visit NCFG website linked above.

Please note - We are trying to keep current with the list of glycans still available, but sometimes they are no longer available before we have had a chance to update the website.

On this website you will find some of the archival data generated by the CFG.

We are attempting to get an archival version of the CFG database back online, but we do not have a timeline as yet for this process.

As many of you may know, the website for the Consortium for Functional Glycomics (CFG) became dysfunctional last year. This is primarily due to an outdated codebase that has become increasingly difficult to maintain and support on current systems. We are making efforts to restore the website using multiple strategies.

We are happy to announce that the Glycan Array Data of the archival CFG website (which has the majority of the data between the years 2004 to 2021) is now restored and available online from the National Center for Functional Glycomics (NCFG) on this site. Array data on this site can be searched and filtered by investigator name, glycan-binding protein class, e.g., plant lectin, antibody, sera, C-type lectin, etc., as well as CFG number, sample name, and array version. Old links to glycan array datasets should still be functional. If you run into any issues, please contact us using the form located at:

We are continuing to explore the possibility of restoring the rest of the archival CFG website alongside this newer website and are hoping to address that in a future announcement.
