The 7/27 Player of the Week missed the NECBL’s doubles record by one

Set an NECBL record in games played while hitting .342

OF- Mike Gerber, Ocean State/Creighton
Ranked in the top five in all Triple Crown categories with a .340/7/30 split

OF- JP Sportman, Keene/Central Connecticut
Player of the Week for 7/6 hit .340 with 13 doubles and 31 RBI.  All #s ranked in the League’s top four

OF- Ben Roberts, Newport/Washington State
Set new NECBL doubles record with 18.  Finished third with 35 RBI

RHP- Michael Burke, Holyoke/Buffalo
Won the League’s ERA title (0.55) and walked just 9 in 65 innings

LHP- Nathan Kirby, Keene/Virginia
Fanned 60 in 43 innings while posting a 1.67 ERA

RHP- Brett Graves, Newport/Missouri
Went 4-0 with a 1.01 ERA for Eastern Division champs

RHP- John Miles, Vermont/Missouri
Set an new NECBL record with his .135 batting average against

Closer- Steven Rice, Sanford/Vanderbilt
Saved six games and struck out 52 in 28.2 innings.

C- Tyler Boyd, Mystic/Seton Hall

6/15 Player of the Week co-claimed the League’s HR title with seven

 

1B- Ryan McBroom, Laconia/West Virginia

Hit .325 and smacked five homers in just 32 games

 

2B- Zach Lucas, Keene/Louisville

Hit .374 after July 5th to help Swamp Bats win 2013 NECBL title

 

SS- Christian Muscarello, Ocean State/Trinity (TX)

Hit .378 in the month of June, helping to lead Ocean State to the playoffs

 

3B- Tyler Boyd, Mystic/Seton Hall

Multi-positional threat also slugged .473 and made just five errors all summer

 

OF- Chandler Brock, Vermont/ Alabama-Huntsville

8/3 Player of the Week hit .452 and scored 17 runs in last 19 regular season games

 

OF- Daniel Spingola, Danbury/Georgia Tech

One of just two players to hit .325, hit 13 extra base hits and steal 15 bases

 

OF- Evan Ocello, Ocean State/Holy Cross

A .331 hitter with 16 steals, he also clubbed 10 doubles and four homers

 

LHP- Scott Squier, North Adams/Hawaii

6/15 Pitcher of the Week led the NECBL in starts (10), strikeouts (70) and innings (69)

 

RHP- Jordan Hillyer, Holyoke/Kennesaw State

Went 5-3 with a 2.46 ERA. His 64 strikeouts were second most in the NECBL

 

RHP- Kurt Sowa, Mystic/Rider

The 7/6 Pitcher of the Week went 3-2 with a 3.05 ERA in seven starts

 

LHP- Matthew Clancy, Keene/St. John’s

Went 5-0 with 41 strikeouts and a 1.95 ERA in 14 games

 

Closer- Kyle Wilcox, Newport/Bryant

Seven saves were second most in the League; posted a 0.48 ERA
