USCGC Frederick Hatch (WPC 1143) hosts Philippine National Police

The USCGC Frederick Hatch (WPC 1143) crew host officers from the Philippine National Police in Tacloban, Philippines, on Oct. 20, 2023. The crew successfully concluded a routine 47-day expeditionary patrol covering more than 8,200 nautical miles under Operation Blue Pacific, returning to Guam on Thanksgiving, distinguished by a series of historic and strategic engagements across the Western Pacific and Oceania. The Frederick Hatch is the 43rd 154-foot Sentinel-class fast response cutter named for a surfman and lighthouse keeper who was a two-time Gold Life Saving Medal recipient. Coast Guard honors legacy; Final Makapu’u Lighthouse keeper returns after 50 years

Ron Cianfarani, retired U.S. Coast Guard Senior Chief Petty Officer and the final manual caretaker of the Makapu’u Lighthouse, received a guided tour from the Coast Guard’s Aids to Navigation Team (ANT) Honolulu, Jan. 24, 2024. Built in 1909, the Makapu’u lighthouse was a fully manned and operational station until becoming automated in 1974. The Lighthouse has been under the maintenance and care of ANT Honolulu for the past 50 years.

This vital training involved collaboration with the U.S. Army Scouts from the 3rd Squadron, 4th U.S. Cavalry Raiders of the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), 25th Infantry Division, and the U.S. Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 - the "Island Knights," based at Andersen Air Force Base.

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Terrell Horne returns to home port follo

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Terrell Horne and crew returned to their home port in Los Angeles/Long Beach Tuesday after a 52-day patrol across the Eastern Pacific.

The crew of the Terrell Horne deployed in support of multiple missions, including Operations Green Flash, Albatross, Martillo, and Southern Shield, within the 11th Coast Guard District's area of responsibility. During the patrol, Terrell Horne's crew conducted a range of missions encompassing law enforcement, counter-drug operations, illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing enforcement, and search and rescue operations.

USCGC Oliver Henry concludes 28-day patrol, strengthening sovereignty and resource security in Blue Pacific

The USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) crew deliver supplies to Kapingiamarangi, an atoll in the Federated States of Micronesia, on Sept. 25, 2023.
