Joint Public Notice – Modification of the Existing Long-Term Maintenance of the Federally Authorized Black Warrior Tombigbee Waterway with the Addition of Sunflower Advance Maintenance Dredge Cut, Black Warrior Tombigbee Waterway, Alabama

Interested persons are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District proposes to modify its recertification efforts of the existing long-term maintenance dredging and disposal of dredged material for the Black Warrior and Tombigbee (BWT) Rivers, Alabama to include the Sunflower advance maintenance dredge cut. The existing long-term maintenance dredging and disposal efforts include the continued use of all previously approved within-banks disposal sites, upland disposal sites, and small boat access channels.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District requests your review and comment on the proposed Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) for the Invasive Carp Prevention and Pilot Program on the Tennessee, Cumberland, and Tombigbee River Basins. Copies of the PEA, Program Management Plan (PMP) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) are located on the following website: https://usace.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p16021coll7/id/26243. The documents are being circulated to resource agencies and interested members of the public for a 30-day comment period.
