Prof. Ing. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua

Vitoantonio Bevilacqua is Associate Professor of Electronic and Information Bioengineering at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering of Polytechnic University of Bari (DEI-POLIBA) where obtained the Laurea Degree in Electronic Engineering, Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Post-Doc in Industrial Informatics and is the Head of Industrial Informatics Lab. In 2019 he got the National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) as Full Professor of Information Processing Systems.

Main Research Activities:
Since 1996 he has been working and investigating in the field of computer vision and image processing, bioengineering, human-machine interaction based on machine learning and soft computing techniques (neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, hybrid expert systems, deep learning). The main applications of his research are in medicine, in biometry, in bioinformatics in ambient assisted living and industry. In 2000 he was involved as Visiting Researcher in an EC funded TMR (Trans-Mobility of Researchers) network (ERB FMRX-CT97-0127) called CAMERA (CAd Modeling Environment from Range Images) and worked in Manchester (UK) at UK Robotics Ltd, in the field of geometric feature extraction and 3D objects reconstruction. He published more than 180 international papers and chaired several sessions such as Speech Recognition, Biomedical Informatics, Intelligent Image Processing and Bioinformatics in international conferences. On July 2011, he was invited as lecturer at International School on Medical Imaging using Bioinspired and Soft Computing-Miere (Spain) MIBISOC FP7-PEOPLE-ITN-2008. GA N. 238819— where presented his research on Intelligent Tumors Computer Aided Early Diagnosis and Therapy: Neural Network and Genetic Algorithms frameworks.

On March 2019 he founded Apulian Bioengineering srl, a spin-off of Polytechnic of Bari, as Chief Executive Officer.

Eng. Antonio Brunetti

Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering

Antonio Brunetti received the Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Automation Engineering, and the Master Degree (cum laude) in Computer Science Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari. His final dissertation in Human-Computer Interaction concerned the design and implementation of an intelligent system able to adapt the living environment of subjects with mild cognitive impairment based on the cognitive event-related potential on the EEG signal.
Subsequently, he worked as Research Fellow at the Polytechnic University of Bari working on GCESYS - "Green Community Efficiency Systems" project dealing with optimization algorithms applied to energy consuptions scheduling in smart buildings with systems supplied by mixed traditional and renewable sources.
Currently, he is a PhD student in Electrical and Information Engineering at the Doctoral School of the Polytechnic University of Bari under the supervision of Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua,  working on Decision Support Systems based on biomedical signals for the customization and optimization of diagnosis, prognosis and therapy.

Some of his professional experience includes several collaborations at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (DEI) of the Polytechnic University of Bari where he worked on the design and development of intelligent algorithms for image and signal processing, working on different projects, such as RESCAP - "Residual Capabilities" (LINK),  and PRE.C.I.O.U.S. - "PREdictive Computer aIded scOring sUpport System" (LINK). Currently, he is a collaborator on PRE.MED - "PREdictive MEDicine" project, where he has to design and develop an operating environment for the extraction and processing of morphological features of patients affected by Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) and to validate the diagnostic classification framework.

On March 2019 he founded Apulian Bioengineering srl, a spin-off of Polytechnic of Bari, as shareholder.

Eng. Domenico Buongiorno, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Domenico Buongiorno is a Post-Doc Researcher in Electronic and Information Bioengineering at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering of Polytechnic University of Bari. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. (cum laude) degrees in automation and control theory engineering from Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2011 and 2014, respectively. His bachelor and master theses, both supervised by the Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua, concerned machine learning-based optimization techniques for energy consumption optimization and human neuromusculoskeletal modeling, respectively.
In 2017, he received the Ph.D. degree in Emerging Digital Technologies from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy (PERCeptual RObotics laboratory - PERCRO). His PhD thesis concerns the control of robotic interfaces for interaction with virtual environments, robot-aided neurorehabilitation (EMG based control - Myocontrol) and bilateral multi-DoF teleoperation in disaster scenario. In 2017, he has been a visiting PhD Student at the Biorobotics Laboratory, UCI Irvine, California, under the sypervision of the Prof. David Reinkensmeyer.
He is currently working on the research projects SOS and RoboVir, and on two industrial projects in collaboration with COMAU Robot Company.
His research interests include human-machine and human-robot interaction, assistive technologies, muscle synergy analysis and myocontrol for neuro-rehabilitation.

He teaches Computer Science at the Polytechnic University of Bari (a.y. 2017/2018 and 2018/2019) and Electronic and Information Bioengineering at the Medical School of the University of Bari (a.y. 2018/2019).

In March 2019, he founded Apulian Bioengineering srl, a spin-off company of the Polytechnic University of Bari.

Prof. Ing. Stefano Mazzoleni

Stefano Mazzoleni is Assistant Professor in Electronic and Information Bioengineering at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering of Polytechnic University of Bari (DEI-POLIBA). He received the University degree (Laurea) in Computer Engineering from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2002 and the Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Genoa (Italy) in 2007.

In 2005 he received the “Student Travel Award” at the IEEE 9th International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics in Chicago, USA. From May 2015 to March 2020 he was Assistant Professor at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Pisa, Italy).

He was head of the joint “Rehabilitation Bioengineering Laboratory” between Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and “Auxilium Vitae” Rehabilitation Centre in Volterra (Italy) from January 2011 to March 2020.

Main research activities:

His research interests include rehabilitation robotics, bioengineering, human-machine interfaces, motor control, motor recovery, human-robot interaction, ICT systems for telerehabilitation and telemonitoring applications. He is author of more than 100 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. He is member of several Editorial Boards of international scientific journals in the fields of robotics, bioengineering and automation.

He is member of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS), IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), IEEE Brain Community and Italian Robotics NeuroRehabilitation Group (IRNRG). He is member of research group in Neurobioethics coordinated by the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy.

Scientific responsibilities:

  • Since 2012 he is serving as co-chair in the IEEE/RAS Technical Committee on “Rehabilitation and Assistive Robotics”.

  • In December 2018 he received the “Innovation Business Award” promoted by the Young Innovators National Association under the category “Robotics” as scientific coordinator of the RISE research project, funded by INAIL, aimed to develop an innovative robotic wheelchair for verticalisation and mobility of persons affected by severe lower limbs impairments.
  • On July 1st 2005 he was awarded the “Student Travel Award IEEE International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics”. The award was assigned during the 9th IEEE International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics, “Frontiers of the Human-Machine” in Chicago, Illinois, USA, 28 June – 1 July 2005.

  • From May 2019 to March 2020 he has been serving as member of the Academic Senate of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (Pisa, Italy).

Eng. Giacomo Donato Cascarano

Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering

Giacomo Donato Cascarano received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. (cum laude) degrees computer in engineering from Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His bachelor and master theses concerned the development of Human Computer Interaction device based on low-cost hardware and image processing algorithms and machine learning-based techniques for biomedical data processing, respectively. Both were supervised by Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua.
He is currently a Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering at the Industrial Informatics Laboratory, DEI, Politecnico di Bari, Bari. His main research interests include multivariate signal and data processing, machine learning and biomedical data analysis.

Eng. Irio De Feudis

Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering

Irio De Feudis received the Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Automation Engineering, and the Master Degree (cum laude) in Computer Science Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari. His final dissertation in Human-Computer Interaction concerned the design and development of a framework for automated bin picking in industry.

In 2016, he worked as collaborator at the Polytechnic University of Bari on GCESYS - “Green Community Efficiency Systems” project, with a task concerning the design of a domestic platform for energy consumptions scheduling in a system supplied by traditional and renewable sources.

In 2017, he worked as collaborator at the Polytechnic University of Bari on PRE.C.I.O.U.S. - “PREdictive Computer aIded scoring sUpport System” project working on the design and development of interfaces for the interoperability of medical devices with web applications.

In 2018, he worked as collaborator at the Polytechnic University of Bari on GCESYS - “Green Community Efficiency Systems” project, designing and developing optimization algorithms for energy consumption scheduling on a domestic platform.

He is currently a Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering at the Industrial Informatics Laboratory, DEI, Politecnico di Bari, Bari. His main research interests include Smart technologies enabling ergonomic and usable human-machine interaction and computer vision solutions for automation and industrial bioengineering.

Dr. Nicola Altini

Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering

Nicola Altini received the B.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Computer Science and Automation Engineering and the M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. His master’s thesis concerned the development of Image Processing and Computer Vision algorithms with Deep Learning techniques for a Medical Image Analysis task, under the supervision of Prof. Francescomaria Marino and Prof. Vitoantonio
Bevilacqua.

He is currently a Ph.D. Student in Electrical and Information Engineering at the Industrial Informatics Laboratory, DEI, Politecnico di Bari, Bari. His main research interests include Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Convolutional Neural Networks and Evolutionary Computation.

Dott. Nicholas Caporusso

Fellow Reasearcher at University of Salford formerly collaborator on PRECIOUS project

Nicholas got his BSc and MSc in Informatics (both cum laude) from the University of Bari (Italy) and obtained a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from IMT – Institute for Advanced Studies (Lucca, Italy). His Master and PhD theses received two awards by the Italian Association for Automatic Calculus (AICA).
In 2011, he obtained a Fulbright Scholarship in Technology Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University (California, USA). In 2015, Nicholas was nominated by MIT Technology Review Italy among the 10 best innovators under 35. In 2017, he received a prestigious Marie Curie fellowship in robotics and automation at the University of Salford (Manchester, UK).
Nicholas published over 50 scholarly articles and 5 patents. Also, he founded 4 businesses in the IT space and a non-profit organization devoted to supporting innovation among youth; his companies received more than 20 international awards.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Northern Kentucky University and he serves as an Adjunct Professor in Informatics at Fort Hays State University, where he received 5 best faculty awards. His teaching and research interests include Interactive systems design, human factors, and pervasive Human-Machine Interaction.

Prof. Ing. Leonarda Carnimeo

Associate Professor

Leonarda Carnimeo is Professor at the Engineering Faculty of the Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy. Since 1988 her scientific activity has dealt with various aspects in the field of Circuit Theory and Applications. In particular, her research interests concern with various aspects of analysis and decoupling of electric networks of large size, stability analysis of continuous-time and discrete-time cellular neural networks, associative memories design, synchronization of chaotic circuits with applications to secure communications. Her interests deal with various research activities aiming at the development of new techniques for the design of Sparsely-connected NN-based associative memories with application to artificial vision systems. At present, she is Responsible of the PRIN project:”Synthesis of a cellular neural system and development of innovative techniques for a real-time ophthalmic image processing as a support in retinal pathology diagnostics and laser therapy”. She was previously involved in various PRIN projects in the field of neural/nonlinear circuits. Her scientific work is proved by several scientific contributions published on international reviews and proceedings.

Dott.ssa Simona De Summa

Simona De Summa is a molecular biology, whose Bachelor and Master’s Degree were obtained at the University of Study of Parma, respectively in 2003 and 2009. For her Master’s degree worked on a project for thesis regarding the study of gene expression profiling through microarray in prostate cancer cell lines. This was her first contact with high-throughput data and in 2014, after a two-year high specialization course at University of Study of Pavia, she started to work as bioinformatician in IRCC-Istituto Tumori “Giovanni Paolo II”.

She is the institutional referent for the working group “ACC-Bioinformatics” for projects related to Alleanza Contro il Cancro, a national network including IRCCS institutes.

Her work is specifically dedicated to the analysis of genomic, transcriptomic and epigenomic data coming from next-generation sequencing platforms, as demonstrated by her publication record. Shortly, she is involved in projects in the field of “Precision Medicine”, whose main aims are the integration of multi-level genomic data to improve diagnosis and prognosis of malignancies as melanoma, breast cancer and onco-hematological diseases.

Moreover, in the Molecular Diagnostics and Pharmacogenetics Unit (directed by Dr. Stefania Tommasi), she is also involved in clinical bioinformatics, a field related to the setting up of reliable pipelines for molecular diagnostics, from raw data to the clinical report. Indeed, the build-up of a user-friendly annotation tool of alterations in genes related to hereditary/familial cancer syndromes is currently ongoing.

Eng. Andrea Di Candia

Andrea Di Candia is a biomedical engineer. He obtained the Laurea degree at “Politecnico di Milano” on 10 April 2002 with an experimental thesis entitled: "Design and Implementation of an Augmented Reality device for the improvement of gait in Parkinson's disease"
After graduating, his first work experience was with the CNR of Milan, dealing with Healthcare Information Systems.
Since 2013 he is technical manager of the Gait Analysis Laboratories of Policlinico di Bari and of Santamaria Clinic in Bari.
Since 2016, as part of the agreement signed between “Policlinico di Bari” UO Medicina Fisica e Riabilitazione headed by Prof. Pietro Fiore and “Politecnico di Bari”, he collaborates with the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (DEI) in particular with Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua, Head of Industrial Informatics Lab, for the implementation of algorithms for evaluation indexes of kinematic parameters using the Gait Analysis platform.
In 2016 he also obtained a II level Master in Healthcare Management. The main topics covered are: Law, Economics, Risk Management, ICT in Healthcare.

Prof. Ing. Andrea Guerriero

Associate Professor

Andrea Guerriero, born in Padua on 7/8/1962, obtained the Laurea Degree in Electronics Engineering at the University of Bari on June 16, 1989, discussing a thesis titled "Assessments on Multiprocessor Architectures for SAR data processing". In November 1990 he passed the qualification exams for the profession of engineer. From January 1990 to January 1991 he has been fellow researcherer at INFM as part of research programs on special computer architectures and related algorithms at the Department of Electrotechnics and Electronics at the University of Bari.
In 1990 he participated in the competition for a researcher at the University of Bari for the I250 discipline group, resulting as winner. He has been working at the University of Bari's Faculty of Engineering from November 1, 1991, at the Politecnico di Bari since May 10, 1991, and later opted for the Department of Electrotechnics and Electronics (DEE).
In December 2004, he was the winner of a public competition for the 1st place of Associate Professor (disciplinary field ING-INF / 05) currently in service at the Faculty of Engineering of the Politecnico di Bari.

Prof. Ing. Pietro Guccione

Assistant Professor

Pietro Guccione is Assistant Professor at the Electrical and Information Engineering Department of Politecnico di Bari, Italy, since 1999.In the same University he achieved the master degree in Electronic Engineering in 1996 defending a thesis in signal processing of synthetic aperture radar. He qualified to the examination to engineers register in 1997; in 2000 he graduated PhD in Electronic Engineering with a thesis on radar interferometry. Since 1999 his interests concerned synthetic aperture radar processing and interferometry; he designed, developed and implemented systems and algorithms for advanced processing, in the framework of international cooperations; he was involved in projects concerning ERS (European Remote Sensing Satellite), ENVISAT (Environment Satellite), Cryosat, SARAT, Sentinel-1, Cosmo SkyMed and BIOMASS with European Space Agency, Italian Space Agency and other national spatial agencies and international companies.
His interests have touched: radar design, SAR simulation, focusing, interferometric processing, calibration, on-board processing and data compression for Earth Observation sensors, modelling of C- and X-band SAR images. Other research interests concern(ed): multivariate statistical techniques on sensor networks data, Information Theory, biomedical processing and image processing, watermarking, speech signal processing and functional Magnetic Resonance Images, analysis of protein sequences, X-ray diffracted spectra.

Eng. Nicola Ieva

Collaborator on SOS project

Nicola Ieva received the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Automation Engineering, and the Master’s Degree (cum laude) in Computer Science Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His master thesis concerned the development of Human Computer Interaction framework on Matlab for Human Gait Analysis in Parkinsonian patients, supervised by Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua.

Currently, he's working as researcher at Protom Group on SOS project.

Eng. Nicola Longo

Nicola Longo graduated with full marks in Control Engineering at Electronic and information Department of Plythecnic of Bari.
During this period he spent 8 months in the NYU Tandon School of Engineering where, under the supervision of professors Rizzo A.and M. Porfiri, he carried out researches in multi-agent formation control.
After a period of two years as Vision System engineer in Mermec S.p.a. he moved to Turin where he started working as Technical Leader for Comau S.p.a.
His specialization concerns industrial vision systems, robotics and Industry 4.0.

Dott.ssa Roberta Mascetti

Collaborator on RECALL project

Roberta Mascetti was born in Ascoli Piceno in 1986.

In 2011 she graduated Magna cum Laude in Health and Clinical Psychology at the University "G. D'Annunzio" in Chieti, with a final dissertation about “The perception of distance in people with schizophrenia”. In 2013 she obtained the National professional qualification as psychologist.

Some of her professional experience includes a contract as collaborator at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information  (DEI) at the Polytechnic of Bari. The name of the project is GCESYS “Green Community Efficiency Systems” where she focused on the study of the motivations behind sustainable behaviors and on the different strategies for their promotion, like eco feedback technologies that use social norms.

She is currently working as collaborator on the RECALL Project. Her task consists in characterizing cognitive and functional inputs for elderly subjects.

Eng. Gianpaolo Francesco Trotta, PhD

Gianpaolo Francesco Trotta received the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Automation Engineering, and the Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari. His final dissertation in Human-Computer Interaction concerned the design and implementation of the interactions of subjects with mild cognitive impairment in a virtual scenario.

On January 2019 he received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Management Engineering at the Doctoral School of the Polytechnic University of Bari under the supervision of Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua, Prof. Antonio Emanuele Uva and Prof. Michele Fiorentino. His PhD thesis concerns the design and the implementation of interactions in virtual, augmented and mixed reality in medical field applications and the design and the implementation of systems able to objectify measures during medical examinations by means of low-cost devices.

Eng. Ilaria Bortone, PhD

Ilaria Bortone graduated in Biomedical Engineering at University of Pisa in 2011.
From 2012 to 2015, she was Project Leader and Manager of KISS-Health Project (PON04a3_00097), a three-year project co-founded by Ministry of Education University and Research (MIUR) under the framework "Smart Cities and Communities and Social Innovation". The idea was to create an inter and multi disciplinary hub focused on biomechanical disorders and located in the Human Motion Analysis Laboratory built up with the project financial resources.
In 2017 she obtained a PhD in Emerging Digital Technologies at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, where she has been working on integrated approaches in neuro-motor rehabilitation (haptic devices and virtual reality) of children with developmental disorders.
She has several experiences in leading the design and implementation of biomechanical research and expertise in balance, gait and movement analysis.
In 2016, she was the Scientific Director of Solulabs CREB, a private clinic for performance assessments of professional sport teams (FC Bari SpA, ...).
She's currently part-time researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the National Research Council (IFC-CNR) of Italy in Pisa, Italy. The main main topic of her research is the analysis of electrophysiological and physiological signals by means of bioengineering methodologies, mainly applied to frail populations.
Since October 2017, she strongly collaborates as Biomedical Engineer with the Department of Medical Sciences, Neuroscience and Sensory Organs (DSMBNOS) of University of Bari, where she deals with clinical trials for the improvement of diagnosis and follow up in orthopaedic and rehabilitative patients. She's also actively involved in research studies on the acquisition and processing of biomechanical features for machine learning approaches with the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (DEI) of Politecnico of Bari, Italy.

Dott. Antonio Lattarulo

Collaborator on CT_COMAU

Antonio Lattarulo received the Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Automation Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2015 and the Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering in 2018 at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy.
His Master thesis concerns the development of a low-cost framework for recognition of symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases through handwriting analysis, under the supervision of Prof. Vitoantonio Bevilacqua. His main fields of research include signal processing, deep learning and biomedical data analysis.
Currently, he’s working as a collaborator at the Polytechnic University of Bari on CT_COMAU designing and developing image processing algorithms.

Eng. Claudio Loconsole, PhD

Claudio Loconsole (Eng.,Ph.D.) received his B.S. and M.S. cum laude in Computer Science Engineering respectively from Politecnico di Bari, Italy, in 2007 and Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2009.
In 2012, he received the Ph.D.cum laude in Innovative Technologies from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy.
He is a former Post-Doc Research Fellow at Perceptual Robotics (PERCRO) laboratory, TeCIP Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (DEI), Politecnico di Bari and the scientifc responsible of the “Braille Lab” project funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research within the “Smart Cities and Communities and Social Innovation” call.
In 2012, he passed a semester as Visiting Ph.D. student at Universidade do Porto (Portugal).
He has been awarded with several international acknowledgments and prizes such as the first prize winner at “World Simulink Student Challenge” in 2011, the “Europe Future of Health Award” in 2012, the ETIC Prize (AICA-Rotary) for his Ph.D. thesis in 2013, the Tech Disruption Prize at the Global Impact Competition Italia in 2014 and the second prize winner at “Start Cup Toscana” in 2013 and in 2016.
He is an invited member at AUDI Innovative Thinking community (2015) and co-founder, secretary and member of the executive committe of the ONLUS association “SOS Visione” for the improvement of the quality of life of the visually impaired.
His research interests include human-machine and huma-robot interaction, assistive technologies, computer vision, motion planning and neurorehabilitation.

Dott. Vito Manghisi, PhD

Vito Modesto Manghisi was born in Conversano (Bari, Italy) in 1971. He received his MS degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bari in 2014, with a final dissertation in Images Processing and Computer Vision.

Some of his professional experience includes a contract as fellow researcher within the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics, and Management (DMMM) at the Polytechnic Institute of Bari. The name of the project is “Virtual Murgia”, based on the SMUS Smart-Multisense Ubiquitous System. He focused on the “Study and Implementation of a Natural User Interface for Scene Navigation in installations”.

His main research interests include Human Computer Interaction, Natural User Interfaces, Ergonomics, Virtual and Augmented Reality for Industrial Application, Decision Support Systems, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Biometrics, Digital Images and Digital Signals Processing.

Dott. Marco Giuseppe Quercia

Collaborator on S.O.S and GCESYS projects

Marco Giuseppe Quercia received the Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Automation Engineering, and the Master’s Degree (cum laude) in Computer Science Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His final dissertation in Human-Computer Interaction concerned the development of a low cost system for feature extraction from parkinsonian gait, under the supervision of Professor Vitoantonio Bevilacqua.

Currently, he’s working as collaborator at the Polytechnic University of Bari on S.O.S – “Smart Operating Shelter” project and GCESYS - “Green Community Efficiency Systems” project, developing optimization algorithms for extraction, elaboration and validation of data from heterogeneous platforms.
