London-based 24: Live Another Day has made its first local hire, tapping Stephen Fry to recur as Prime Minister Trevor Davies.
Described as a strong and charismatic leader, Davies’ friendship with President Heller (William Devane) comes under tremendous pressure because of personal and political crises.
24: LAD premieres May 5 on Fox.

Which of today’s TVLine Items has you talking?
Great casting choice on Stephen Fry – please don’t make him a bad guy through ludicrous plotting (a la Gregory Itzin’s Charles Logan).
Utopia is failing hard here in the Netherlands. They keep losing their participants and having to replace them. They lost almost half their viewers…
Interesting news about Charlotte Ross on the same day that Days announces that her old character Eve is being recast with Kassie Depaiva. Lot of people wondering why Charlotte couldn’t return herself. Could this be why? I know this is only a guest spot on Nashville but who knows?
Now sign Hugh Laurie already, dammit!!!
Utopia?? No way!!
stephen fry in 24? could i BE anymore excited, mom?
mon…nnnn
Utopia is going to be confusing. There’s already a very stylish British thriller with that name, which will be releasing new episodes in the next few months.
Always love to see Stephen Fry on tv here. Wonderful actor! Now, I would love to see him revisit Bones one more time, and I’d love to see him meet Tempe’s “Mr. Buxley” (hilariously played by Robert Englund). Psychiatrist (now chef) Gordon Gordon would probably find him refreshingly honest! ;-)
Wow, Michael Vartan. Haven’t heard his name in a while.
Did you do the double reference on purpose? Stephen Fry wrote a (fantastic) book called “Making Time”
Yes, they did. That’s one of his/their favorite things to do, along with spelling & grammatical mistakes [like the way they said the “friendship… COME (should be “COMES”) under fire..]
Wow, first Yvonne and now Stephen Fry?? I’ll definitely have to watch this, even though I haven’t seen 24 before… :)
Umm…Fox, you already tried that except it wasn’t “reality” based and you cancelled after first season. Remember, it was called Terra Nova?
