[#Hackathon at Accor]🤝 in collaboration with the Sifflet and Artefact teams. Accor, a global leader in #hospitalitymanagement, held its first Data Observability hackathon dedicated to #DataQuality! ✨ It was such an immense pleasure partnering with Accor teams: a full day of learning, experimenting, and reflecting on results. 🎯 Through this one day hackathon with around 60 employees, Accor had several objectives: - To bring forth new ideas between entities on how to improve data quality management, - To capitalize on team ideas and identify innovative opportunities arising from data, - To foster a unified Accor's spirit around data quality, as a prerequisite to successful #AItransformation for the Group. Artefact, leader in #data & #AI consulting services, mobilized their #designthinking specialists, who guided Accor teams throughout the #ideationprocess 💡 to assist teams in designing robust data quality models. These solutions were then evaluated by a jury composed of members of Accor's Data executive committee. Truly mind-blown by the team's engagement and commitment to making data more reliable. 🎬 HananIA Mikael OUAZAN, partner and Generative AI Lead at Artefact, opened the Tech Stage with an introduction on generative AI, at Artefact’s Adopt AI Summit on June 5th. 👉 Watch and get inspired by this introduction keynote on #genAI: https://lnkd.in/eMHwzhuk 📖 Read the REPORT of Adopt AI with the replays & synthesis of all CEOs keynotes & key discussion panels: https://lnkd.in/e8yj2CeN 🔎 Key insights from the keynote: - Hanan highlights that many companies have a growing interest in #AI, especially in #generativeAI, with new products launched daily and rapid innovations from major players, although few have successfully transformed their business with this technology. - The main obstacles to adopting generative AI are #dataquality, the high costs of models (which are decreasing), and legal and regulatory issues. - The primary challenge is the lack of trust in generative AI, often blamed for hallucinations. Hanan argues that this mistrust is misplaced, explaining that errors stem from #data quality and incorrect correlations, similar to human misconceptions. He compares AI errors to common human misconceptions such as the myth that humans use only 10% of their brains. - Humans manage and delegate errors and uncertainties. He suggests applying the same control mechanisms to AI, making machine errors more acceptable. To succeed with AI, it is crucial to change our behavior and integrate AI into processes rather than superimposing it. Hanan concludes by calling for a better understanding and management of AI for successful #adoption. - He also highlights France's strong position in the #AIfield, with influential research laboratories and a very active open-source community contributing to #innovation and the development of new #technologies. - He stresses the role of regulations like the #AIAct in creating a safe framework for innovation and mentions collaborations with companies like Mistral AI to develop solutions aimed at preventing errors and effectively controlling algorithms. - He concludes by stating that while generalized intelligence is still far off, AI has created an "echo of intelligence" that extends human reach. The future promises more innovation and new opportunities, but it will also complicate control and scaling. 🗣 “Integrating generative AI means accepting its defaults and setting up the prerequisites for success.
