Hi Fabric Community!

Welcome to the Community Sticker Challenge 2024! We know how much everyone loves stickers, and want to invite you to join our sticker challenge.

Any registered Fabric Community members, including all Microsoft team members, may submit a unique design for a new sticker in any of four categories:

  1. Community Enthusiasm
  2. Inspirational
  3. “Inside Joke” for developers and data
  4. Super Users

Important information:

  1. Submit your entries from August 1, 9AM PST through August 16, 11:50PM PST.
  1. Voting will be available from August 1, 9AM PST through August 23, 11:50PM PST.
  1. The winner of the challenge will be announced on August 28. 

Winning sticker designs will be produced and distributed in the Community Lounge during the European Microsoft Fabric Community Conference in Stockholm.

Each winner will be awarded 100 copies of their sticker design, accompanied by assorted swag items (swag will not contain your design). The prizes can be collected onsite during the European Microsoft Fabric Community Conference held in Stockholm from September 24-27 or shipped to those who are unable to attend.

Microsoft reserves the right to select additional designs to print and distribute. Community members whose submissions were not chosen as winners in their category but were chosen for printing and distribution will receive 25 stickers of their designs mailed to them. 

How the finalists are chosen:

  • All eligible votes (kudos) provided by the deadline of August 23, 11:50PM PST.

  • Kudos and design elements will be taken into consideration when selecting winners.

Design Criteria:

  1. Messages and design should be positive, inclusive, encouraging, and/or promote the value of community.
  2. Use of any product names, logos, or trademarked material - Microsoft or otherwise is prohibited.
  3. Print size must be one of the following: 2x2 or 3x2
  4. Text must be legible at the print size to be eligible. No smaller than size 12 pts.
  5. Sticker designs will be printed on a white background, any space left blank will be white.
  6. Sticker designs can be cut to a custom shape, provide a 1px line in the shape it would be cut to—design to 300 dpi resolution or higher for printing. Ensure your file's color space is set to CMYK (otherwise colors may appear off).
  7. Attach the sticker design file to the Community Sticker Challenge as .png or .jpg and indicate which label (1- 4) you are submitting it for.

Microsoft reserves the right to disqualify and remove any submissions that are determined to be inappropriate, offensive, or not aligned with the Microsoft Code of Conduct guidelines.  

 

How to Enter:

  1. Select the "Entries" tab.
  2. Select "Enter the challenge."
  3. Name your entry (max of 99 characters).
  4. Upload your sticker design file.
  5. Attach an Adobe Acrobat PDF of the design image (drag, drop, or browse).
  6. Select the label that matches your entery (Community Enthusiasm, Inspirational, "Inside Joke" for developers or data, or Super Users)
  7. Select "Post" to submit your entry.

How to vote: 

To cast a vote, click the kudos (thumbs up) next to an entry in the challenge.

To vote on entries that are related to a specific label:

  1. Select the "Entries" tab.
  2. Select any image
  3. Over on the left side panel, under "Helpful Resources," select the label of your choice.
