Candidate Connection

Aaron Matteson participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on September 27, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Aaron Matteson's responses follow below.[1]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

Education, Environment, and Job Growth[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

I'd like to restore our Wisconsin tradition of local control. I'm also passionate about making sure that healthcare and education are affordable and accessible.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

Ballotpedia also asked the candidate a series of optional questions. Aaron Matteson answered the following:

What qualities do you possess that would make you a successful officeholder?

I'm a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in good standing. I have 25 years of experience analyzing the detailing financial workings of manufacturers and other groups and providing actionable advice. As a legislator, this experience will allow me to be a good steward of our tax dollars.[3]
What process do you favor for redistricting?
It should be a nonpartisan process, and I would support legislation in the spirit of the Iowa model.[3]
