Alva Lumpkin

Alva Moore Lumpkin (1886-1941) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of South Carolina and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of South Carolina.

He was nominated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on May 17, 1939 to replace John Lyles Glenn. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 22nd, and received commission on July 19th. He resigned on July 22, 1941. Lumpkin died on August 1, 1941.
