Andrew Raia
Andrew Raia (Republican Party) was a member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 12. Raia assumed office in 2013. Raia left office on January 6, 2020.
Raia (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the New York State Assembly to represent District 12. Raia won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
He has previously served as Deputy Minority Whip.
Raia resigned from the New York State Assembly effective January 6, 2020, to be sworn in as the town clerk of Huntington, New York. He was elected to the town clerk position in 2019.[1][2]
Biography
Raia earned his B.A. in political science from the State University New York at New Paltz.[3] His professional experience includes serving as chief of staff for Suffolk County Legislator Allan Binder and as an office worker for multiple New York State Assemblymen, a New York State Senate Majority Leader and a New York State Senator.

On November 4, 2008, Raia won re-election to the New York State Assembly, District 9, defeating opponents Karen Kerr-Ozimek (D) and Michele Mastrangelo (WF).[16][17]
Raia raised $114,874 for his campaign while Kerr-Ozimek raised $11,662 and Mastrangelo raised $0.[18]
