Andy Berke is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee State Senate. Berke served in the Tennessee Senate from 2009-2012. He was elected to serve as the Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus, from 2011-2012.[1]

Berke was elected as mayor of Chattanooga, Tennessee on March 5, 2013.[2]

Biography

Berke graduated from Stanford University and later graduated with his Law degree from Chicago Law. He is a partner of a law firm.

Berke represented Tennessee Senate District 10. District 10 included portions of Hamilton and Marion Counties.

Berke announced in early 2012 that he would not seek re-election to the Tennessee State Senate.[3]

2008

On Nov. 4, 2008, Berke won election to the 10th District Seat in the Tennessee State Senate, defeating opponent Oscar Brown (R).[4]

Berke raised $216,121 for his campaign while Brown raised $0.[5]
