Annette Robinson
Annette Robinson is a former Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 56 from 2002 to 2017. She was elected to the chamber in a special election in February 2002. She previously served as the majority conference vice-chair for the New York State Assembly.
Robinson did not seek re-election to the New York State Assembly in 2016.
Her other political experience includes being a member of the New York City Council; a member of Community School Board, District 16; and a district leader/state committeewoman for the 56th Assembly District Speaker, New York City Council.
Biography
Robinson earned her B.S. and M.A. from New Hampshire College.[1] Her professional experience includes being a coordinator and liaison for New York City Comptroller Harrison Goldin and a district director for United States Representative Major Owens.

Incumbent Annette Robinson was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Garnsey Lee Alston was unopposed in the Republican primary. Robinson defeated Alston in the general election.[2][3][4]

Annette Robinson ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 56. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. She defeated Francenia Sims-Hall in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7]
